Come for the forced use of orange in the color scheme.  Stay for the 80s era digital clock jersey numbers.

Those are great Arena League unis.

2014-03-03 12:39:31 PM
man, those are terrible.  and i love gauche, over the top uniforms (the Steelers bumblebee togs come to mind) but those are just.......no.   calling those arena league is a disgrace to the arena league. those aren't even that.

Finally! There's a team in the South with worse uniforms than the Falcons

Go home, Nike, you're drunk.

I think I had an LED watch in the 70's that had the same font.

Came here to say this.  The digital clock numbers seal it.

I imagine the guy who wrote that cries when he wakes up and goes to work. When he gets there he sips from a flask hidden in his desk drawer and  tries to write a few pages of his novel, but his boss calls out: "I need 1000 words about Taco Bell's new breakfast waffle by noon! And put that farking flask away! Who do you think you are? A writer?"
Dude must be dying inside.

Yeah, the thing that screwed up the uniform the most is that ugly orange.  They could have done the throwback still, but adding that ruined the jersey.

Phugly.

I like them. Anything that separates us from the Schiano era is good by me. Some wins wouldn't hurt.  I wonder what the non white jersey will look like, and will we also have two different pants. Last year it was pewter pants and white pants.

Really? I thought the orange was one of the few redeeming features, otherwise they look like Falcons unis, which are easily the ugliest in the NFL.

Swap the orange and the red on the pants, replace the black with the old pewter, and bring back Bucco Bruce.

That, or just bring back the creamsicle uniforms full time.

What was wrong with the uniforms they had?

Nothing. The current ones look good. These look like arena unis as has been said.

Modern industrial design inspiration? It looks like a digital clock.

The forced orange is bad, but at least barely tolerable. The 80's digital clock numbers are disgusting.

I keep looking for unintentionally funny imagery in the triangular negative space on the front of the helmet...kind of looks like a stereotypical Chinaman hat in gray...pointy cone-head...gotta be something I'm missing.

I "kind of" like them. I did like them with the orange taken out. Nike really shouldn't design uniforms though, I haven't seen a truly good one from them yet.

Black uniforms in Florida are a bad idea. Even into November it's still in the mid 80's here. The Buc's use to get around having to wear the red jerseys by using the away whites earlier in the year, but even the away jerseys are about 50% black.

They aren't supposed to be good. They are designed to be dramatically different so that no one can get away with wearing old jerseys. If they are sufficiently bad enough to prompt another redesign after a few years, all the better for the company focused on maximizing jersey sales.

But moooom, I don't wanna get up for practice. We're just gonna lose anyways.

The new design looks like a reject from the XFL that's had design bleedover after being washed in the same machine as the Under Armor crap that University of Maryland has been wearing the last few seasons. I could have forgiven the helmet redesign with the comically oversized flag because the base color would allow for a throwback to the last set of uniforms (from the late 90s until now) that were, IMO, one of the best in the NFL. As a Bucs fan for over 30 years I can say that this is the worst uniform I have ever seen the team wear and near the top of the worst in the NFL. There's plenty of people who don't appreciate ol' Bucco Bruce and the creamsicle orange, but I actually liked the design and still feel a sense of nostalgia towards it. Methinks there won't be many of us Bucs fans clamoring to buy these when they put them on sale...and, yes, I know there aren't that many Bucs fans!
