At least at a nudist colony, you can see the giant ugly balls of the HOA busybodies.

Simple rule really.  Where there is sausage don't have dogs.

2014-03-03 12:22:29 PM
You wouldn't want the dog to grab some dude by the weiner and shake now, would you?

2014-03-03 12:23:50 PM
Has the dog bitten anyone? Is she failing to pick up waste? If not, then what's the problem? And if so, then it's not about her blindness, it's about her inability to take care of her dog or her dog's dangerous nature.

you don't have to be totally blind to have a service dog, nor do you have to prove you are blind. You only have to claim the dog is a service dog and that is performs a particular service for you. end of argument period under federal law.

Blind people sound like the perfect patrons for a nude beach. They don't care how ugly people are.

I bet it wont be long before those who abuse the system cause a backlash of more stringent regulations for certifying service animals.

Nice pic of a Black Labrador they have. Sounds like some question as to weather its a real service dog.

was approved even though her "black" Labrador is much heavier.

I see the problem here. Their racists!

I am not ashamed to admit the idea of "service" went in an entirely different direction.

It's a freaking lab! I've never seen an aggressive lab. Labs are too dumb to be aggressive. The worst to be said about labs is, they are too friendly.

Black dogs and cats do indeed face discrimination. Sadly, they are the least likely to be adopted from shelters.

Neighbor's lab was aggresive. Was glad when they let it loose out front and a truck hit it. They had to pay to fix the truck too.

It would be interesting to know what "totally out of control" means.

I've been exposed to service dogs at my workplace and they are awesome. Very quiet and focused when "working". You barely even know they are there. Sometimes people have dogs in training which are also awesome. Although one time I went to the printer room only to find this monstrous dog sprawled across the floor. That was weird. He was still in training, I think.

There may also be a question as to what the whether is like down there.

Is this a real service dog because she cannot see where she's going or is this one of those things where she can see perfectly well but she calls it a service dog because it provides "emotional comfort"  I fully side with the woman in the first case but the second case is BS.

Still more productive than Bob from accounting.

How do you make a pet into a service animal? Simple, spend $60.00

It seems they withdrew their complaint and now she's suing for distress.  It might be a case of bad paperwork keeping and then some neighbor complaining.

My parents have two black cats they got basically for free from a shelter for this exact reason.  Other than seven car wrecks, two burned homes, a cancer scare, a sinkhole, and an unexpected visit from a long dead relative, nothing has really gone wrong in the 3 weeks since they got them either.

Fake service dogs are a major problem.  A friend of mine trains real service dogs and is constantly running into people with fake sevice dogs wearing the service vest (bought on the internet).  It's pretty obvious they are fake, e.g. highly aggressive and un-neutered males that are growling and nipping at anyone who walks by.  Unfortunately, there really isn't much anyone can do about it because HIPAA makes it impossible to require proof.

/fyi, most of the dogs she trains never make it through the entire program

The requirements are in the post above you.  Looks like part of the requirements are that it is "under control".  They are claiming that her animal is not.  Seems like a reasonable point of dispute under the law.

Well no wonder they won't let the large black lab in.  All the white guys would get jealous.

I thought under the ADA that the service animal had to be trained and under control?

They don't allow cameras (except their security cameras) so it will be interesting to see how they document this.

I don't know why they just couldn't be bothered to put the correct farking dog on there in the first place.  Stupid, lazy "journalists."  Pffft!

1. The question is likely whether her "Service Dog" really is one or not.
2. If there have been incidents, it likely is not.
3. People with fake service dogs belong in the same category as non-handicapped people who get handicapped tags and use them - off with their heads!

Friendliness may be the problem. Here is a photo of the woman with the dog.

No doubt the women at the colony don't want this dog sticking it's nose in, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

FTFA:  Fowler says Lisa Caruso, the condo association president, has told her to only walk the dog in specific areas, and that the dog must move out of the way of pedestrians. Also, she's been told her dog is out of control.
Fowler says she's been accused of not cleaning up after her dog
  etc.
