Guess we'll find out in a couple years.

I think this is a major problem with Obama.  He gets cast by the Republicans as soft on terrorism and too weak to conduct foreign policy and in response to that he acts way the hell too macho.  He said Assad must go, he did some saber-rattling in regards to Ukraine earlier and really, he cannot back this up too well.

But, part of the blame for this goes to Republicans who refuse to back the nation's elected leader in times like this and constantly bait him to act in ways contrary to our best interests.  These yahoos are not patriots, they are blood-thirsty jackals who want nothing but power for the sake of having it.

Our country is very ill-served by our elected officials at every level.

That's not completely true.  The people that bribe Congress are doing very well indeed.

A woman president would invite our enemies to her boudoir, wearing red negligee.  Our enemies would be all, "Madam President, are you trying to seduce me?" and she'd be all, "Sit down."  After that, our enemies would be like flies trapped in the web of an American spider in red negligee.  Game, set, and match.

Would the GOP be less inclined to accuse a female president of weakness?

Irrelevant question.  If a democrat is president, then the GOP will throw any shiat they can against the wall in an attempt to discredit them.  And it will not matter if said shiat does not stick to the wall, cannot stick to the wall, or if it would have stuck to the wall under a previous Republican president.

Only for a few days a month.  Am I right guys? Am I right?

If there were only countries in the world that took this giant leap first, they would serve as a good example.

Well, if you look at Margaret Thatcher, she was often tougher than her male counterparts.

But then, Margaret Thatcher was an unholy biatch to start with, so there's no telling if she was tougher because she was a woman trying to prove the sexist jerks wrong, or just a horrible person.

/whole family cheered and applauded when she resigned

It all depends on the particular woman.  Saying a woman would be too tough is just as much a stereotype as saying she would be too soft.

Now, as for the women in particular, Hillary Clinton, she's a known to be a bit of a hawk militarily (at least for a Democrat), although that didn't really show up much in her recent tenure as Secretary of State, so I dunno.

So women can never satisfy conditions in which they can be president?

Yes, keep it up chucklefarks.  Keep saying generalizing, stupid, demeaning shiat about women.  Keep insulting the majority of the population (both voting and regular).  Keep going.  It will totally work out in your favor.  Just keep on talking.  This is all going great.

Maybe, but I think we're going to see a few more man presidents before we see a woman president.

Either the set of all A is the empty set... or it is the universal set of discourse, and the purported metric (>, <) relationships used here do not correspond to a partial ordering.

I watched the O'Reilly clip... Jesus, talking about reaching. "There's got to be something, right? Something?".

Holy Christ, he reaches any further, he's gonna fall right off of his chair. What did he really THINK the response was going to be? 'Oh sure Bill, you know, you're right. Women will never work as President, because they'll be too busy cleaning the White House, taking care of the kids and cooking dinner.'. About the only answer he could get that would save face is the one he got, the whole 'Well, a woman might feel the need to overcompensate.' response. Doesn't mean that it'll happen, just that this is the only thing anyone could have said back to him that didn't leave him sitting there staring at a silent monitor for 3 minutes.

Would a President Hillary Clinton facing re-election in a climate of resurgent sexism surrounding a foreign policy blunder be more inclined than a male president in the same situation to seek to neutralize the problem by opting for a show of decisive military force somewhere in the world?
She just might.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.  I think the obvious answer is you should just stay in the kitchen.

Women would be more restrained in their use of the military because they never overreact or respond out of proportion.

I don't thing Hillary's vagina has much to do with her murderous political outlook. They are just separate facts about her.

Women don't think like men. It's a rare woman who can. Thus in any position, things will be different. In the case of world leaders they do fine, though. It's not like they've never lead a country, before.

Geez, read a book.

Sounds to me like a woman president, specifically Hillary Clinton, would be more likely to use military force - according to the article.  If that's true, then I say "no, thank you" to a woman president.  We can't afford someone who will send people off to die just to prove they're tough enough to do it.

I'm genuinely curious--what do you mean here?  In what ways do they think differently?  Or what is different?

My loving people,

We have been persuaded by some that are careful of our safety, to take heed how we commit our selves to armed multitudes, for fear of treachery; but I assure you I do not desire to live to distrust my faithful and loving people. Let tyrants fear, I have always so behaved myself that, under God, I have placed my chiefest strength and safeguard in the loyal hearts and good-will of my subjects; and therefore I am come amongst you, as you see, at this time, not for my recreation and disport, but being resolved, in the midst and heat of the battle, to live and die amongst you all; to lay down for my God, and for my kingdom, and my people, my honour and my blood, even in the dust. I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too, and think foul scorn that Parma or Spain, or any prince of Europe, should dare to invade the borders of my realm; to which rather than any dishonour shall grow by me, I myself will take up arms, I myself will be your general, judge, and rewarder of every one of your virtues in the field. I know already, for your forwardness you have deserved rewards and crowns; and We do assure you in the word of a prince, they shall be duly paid you. In the mean time, my lieutenant general shall be in my stead, than whom never prince commanded a more noble or worthy subject; not doubting but by your obedience to my general, by your concord in the camp, and your valour in the field, we shall shortly have a famous victory over those enemies of my God, of my kingdom, and of my people.

Yeah, he's pretty farked. Republicans pi$$ed away good will, and wore down our military might, for the better part of a decade. America has little clout, thank you to our former torturer in chief, as far as human rights. Toss in a military that's exhausted, and we can't do anything alone.

The best thing that could happen is a NATO action, but I doubt Europe wants to stoke that fire. We can't do it alone right now. The other question is: Would the Ukraine even welcome the action? Do they want to poke the bear? I would suggest that it not go unchallenged. The problem is that Russia is a major resource (oil, natural gas, et al.) to Europe. Can we convince them to put it at risk?

Major problems and questions...

The problem with women in politics is that they start acting like politicians.
