Our American gators know how to fight back against foreign invaders.

USA! USA! USA

Who would win in a fight between a giant snake and a crocodile?

That depends. My anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hon.

This question can only be answered by a surprisingly cougary Tiffany and large-breasted Debbie Gibson having a wet-shirted cat fight.

/better not be _too_ obscure...

That's in Australia.  So a 10ft snake attacking a crocodile in a lake is probably analogous to a goose attacking a dog in the States.

Chuck Norris  Who wins a fight? The answer is always Chuck Norris.

Tiffany Corlis, a local author, told the BBC: "It was amazing. We saw the snake fighting with the crocodile - it would roll the crocodile around to get a better grip, and coil its body around the crocodile's legs to hold it tight."

[snip]

another witness, Alyce Rosenthal, told the Brisbane Times that the two creatures fought for about five hours in total.

So it was like watching a Jiu Jitsu match.

I've seen some cool footage of some river otters driving a crocodile away from their place by the river.

/Don't mess with the otters.
//So, I'd bet on the snake

Oh good. I'd hate to think such a critically acclaimed masterpiece lacked for an audience.

While I'm kinda embarrassed to have missed that cinematic masterpiece when it was realeased, I've now whatched the cat fight scene.

I have the weirdest boner.

That is all.

Oh, and my boner prevented me from spelling "watched" correctly, so, um, yeah. And "released".

My boner and I are stopping posting now.

Doesn't really surprise me, to be honest. Once the snake has the croc's jaws held shut, it's a no contest.

They appear to be so amazed that the snake ate the croc head first, so I'm wondering have they ever seen a snake swallow an animal ass-end first. I thought head first was SOP for snakes.

I just watched Titanoboa yesterday on Netflix.  So I was betting the snake.

I might have to jump in between them, to, you know, break it up.  And it might take a while, too.

I'm gonna go with the snake on this one. If the gator bites it first, it might win. But the snake will immobilize a gator in no time otherwise.

I thought constrictors always swallowed prey head-first; if they can engulf the head, they can probably swallow the rest of the animal.

I would pay good money to watch Rhonda Rousey smack the shiat out of Chuck's washed up geriatric ass.

This.

They're both ambush predators, so the real variable is who got the drop on who.

Indeed - grab the snake just behind the head and you don't have to worry about it biting you:

It'll just try to strangle your forearm.

/Isn't it cute?

Is it anything like a snake vs an alligator?
