Clint_Torres: A personal Personal Computer?

Yes, purchased with cash from an ATM machine, where you put in your PIN number.

steamingpile: ferretman: The 'ME' generation poster child.

Yeah spoiled biatch generation is closer to reality.

The step kid thinks we have to buy him the car he picked out, a Cadillac escalade, because in his words "we make enough". I simply told him "no, there is no we me and his mother make enough, you just get to mooch for a while".

But it shouldn't shock me since he thinks every kid has a 30 60" flat screen, ps3, and a personal PC in their bedroom.

A personal Personal Computer?

This is what enabling does for people.  Just like welfare, if you take care of somebody with no consequences for their actions they'll never want to get off the tit.

H31N0US: Endive Wombat: I just could not imagine doing that to your child.

I was a bit of a fark up during the latter half of high school, despite breaking the curves on any standardized tests taken before 10th grade. Needless to say, parents and teachers were pissed. Long story short, I found myself homeless in the middle of winter during my senior year. I slept in a friend's basement on a cot by the furnace until I graduated, and needless to say I stared putting effort into school at that point. Eventually went to college, got a masters and a real job blah blah blah but there was no greater reality check than seriously considering which dumpster would be the warmest place to sleep that night I was booted. Luckily, said friend saw me walking on Rt 9 and pulled over.

This girl doesn't seem like a problem child, but she does need a reality check. Her current ward is not doing her any favors by enabling her. My guess is there's a boyfriend involved, and would not be surprised if that's who's parents took her in.

I have no idea why but for some reason I read this in Fins voice from Law and Order-SVU.
