It was Spanish Uniform Day?  More like 90s Flashback Day.

Wow, an actual NBA thread.

I was at the game this season when Derek Rose shredded his knee again sitting about 50 feet away from him. At the the time, it didn't even look like anything happened. Amazing how the Bulls have stuck together, and played their system. That is a lot of heart and great coaching.

Tom Thibodeau is just the best coach in the NBA, there is no way that a team after losing Rose and trading Deng should be winning anything.  My guess is that the Bull's management is pissed as they hoped that the team would tank and get a lottery pick and a frozen envelope.

19 points is getting gored?

That SCHOENE projection (37 wins) looks optimistic now.

Another 20 games like that and they'll make the playoffs.

*sigh* basketball hell

The Knicks trailed 16-1 at the start of the game and surrendered 37 first-quarter points, which tied the Bulls' season high.

That is just an embarrassing lack of effort and disinterest.

The Knicks are a dumpster fire with 10 legs.

A game after coming back against a 16-point deficit against the Mavs, eventually winning by 9. Nine out of the past 10. Noah is playing his goddamn heart out this season. I know we're not going to win anything this year, but damn it's good to see them thriving again, even without Rose. I love how this team plays together, each player plays their role, and how they give it their all.

Go Bulls!

I can understand it would be difficult for the Knicks, but does the Bulls organization, or the NBA, realize that there is a Spanish word for "Bull?"

Yep. The Bulls are pretty much reliving the movie "Major League".

THIS.

Though the more I think about it, do Spanish broadcasters change the name if it has a translation? Like if they are doing a Cowboys game do they call them the Vaqueros?

"Los Bulls". That means "The Bulls" in Spanish.

Which was how I meant it. Carry on.

Watched part of that game.  Noah was unreal.  Pretty funny to see him and Boozer all excited for a Jimmer Fredette shot at the end.  "Chemistry" is overused, but the Bulls have it.  That is a TEAM.

Jimmer Fredette. It's English for "Darko Milicec."

The Knicks will be in the playoffs.

And considering they found a way to correctly use Nate Robinson after team after team discarded him, and the way DJ Augustin has looked with them, I'll bet they find a way to use Jimmer too.

Haven't seen a whole lot of centers capable of putting up triple doubles of the Pts/Rebs/Assists variety the way Noah does.

Pretty sure it's French, actually.

Bulls are one of the best regular season teams out there, but the sad fact is that you need 2-3 superstars to win a championship, and Chicago is playing just well enough to avoid getting another in the draft.

At least James Dolan, Jr. has his music career to fall back on and doesn't need to rely on the Knicks to add to his bankroll.

The NBA goes with whatever the Spanish-speaking community actually calls the team. It seems like the best way to do it to me.
