Not that we needed all that for the trip, mind you.  But once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

A bit light on the firearms, though.  Any serious collector is going to have upwards of a hundred.

A man could have a fun weekend in Vegas with all that.

1 bottle of prescription pills, $175 in cash, 4 grams of  marijuana, and 4 guns were turned in as evidence................

I wonder what the street value of that cash was...

What, all $100,000 of it?

Using cop math... about 2 million.

2014-03-02 05:46:39 PM
I just can't believe we pay cops big bucks to bother with piddly shiat like this.

Yeah, catch a murderer, catch a thief.
Or is that too hard?

Simmer down, yokels. The bust was probably the work of this guy:

Deputy U. S. Marshal Raylan Givens.

A lot of funny business goes on in the hollers of Tennessee. He works hard to stop it.

I know Raylan Givens is from Kentucky, but he's also a deputy U. S. Marshal and he's been spending a lot of time fighting the "Tennessee Mafia." I also know that the "hollers" he's always returning to are in Harlan County, Kentucky . . . but them damned people of Harlan keep gettin' on the buses to Tennessee to get their Oxy so he spends a lot of his time shootin' on 'em 'n killin' 'em.

Still, the wording of my original thought left a lot to be desired. (Are there even "hollers" in Tennessee?)

IANAL.
The pills may have not been of an illegal type, the guns might have been registered, the baggies might have been sandwich bags or smaller.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury--Your Honor--now, it might seem suspicious that my client had in his possession at the time of his arrest 24 pounds of marijuana, 5,000 LSD capsules, and a gallon of Ripple wine...to the layman on the street, this might seem suspicious! However, there is an excuse, Your Honor, there is an explanation: it seems my client had merely found these drugs, and was on his way to the police department at the time of his arrest...
