Those were sadistic. The IKEA mazes make even more sense now.

Wasn't a movie, but I'd definitely put 'Varg Veum' up in there somewhere. Dark, dramatic and graphically gory as all hell.

It's from next door in Norway, but I would also recommend Headhunters for a sometimes disturbing black comedy.

Maybe not disturbing enough, but I though Evilwas very good.

I tried watching a Swedish film once but it all seemed like backward English to me.

That was the most disturbing slideshow of all time.

Most slideshows I don't mind clicking through but when it has to reload the whole page, which ends up at a different scroll position, and then in the process activates a drop down menu that covers up the next slide until I move the mouse in a large circle, well I don't have the patience for that.

Be warned: Fanny and Alexander is not Swedish Erotica, and Ingmar Bergman could have shaved two hours from it.

I'm glad someone else has seen that movie

What about Sweden: Heaven and Hell? I'm sure that might disturb some people...conservative Jim Henson fans, mostly...

Is there as much rape in the other Lisbeth Salander movies? Because that was kind of a turn-off in the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

There is just the two rape scenes in the first movie iirc, but both rape scenes are more graphic & intense in the Swedish version.

Crewmannumber6: Let The Right One In didn't make the list?

Does being #2 on the list count as not making it on the list?
