Winter Storm Titan??

haha i miss cable TV.

2014-03-01 11:10:04 PM
News is saying we're going to get thunder sleet tomorrow. Never heard that before.

2014-03-01 11:11:22 PM
The Weather Channel is so sad with these snow storm names.  The internet has crushed them to dust, they're just completely irrelevant these days.

2014-03-01 11:12:18 PM
On this episode of Soap?

I guess they used up all of the -aggedon, -pocalypse suffixes last year.

I was out in a thunder snowstorm once - pretty cool to see lightning in between the snowflakes. A cold front came in and dropped right on top of the storm, dropping temperatures 30 degrees in an hour or so.

*grabs phone*  low tonight of 57. Oh no, I might have to turn the heat on for one day in March.

/probably not.

Winter Storm Titan? Is this some kind of Attack on Titan spin-off?

I'm guessing no snow day.

And yet...here we are linking to them and talking about them.

Enjoy the snow, suckers. I'm paddling out to a barrier island to camp over night tomorrow. I'll take my Florida tag gladly.

2014-03-01 11:14:12 PM
Send some of that snow to south-central Alaska.

/the dust/silt is getting to me

2014-03-01 11:14:47 PM
It rained.
It's a bone-chilling 53 degrees out.
Somebody hit a power pole and the lights flickered.
That was horrific.

/Somebody, please hold me.

I recommend everybody enjoy a few of these Titans while you wait for the storm to blow over.

I moved here to VA from Chicago back in October, so at least in comparison, I've barely noticed any winter here except for maybe a week's worth of snow total. And the cold is NOTHING compared to Chicago. So enjoying that much.

Next up on the SyFy Channel Movie Of The Week: Winter Storm Titan!
And coming soon: Winter Storm Titan versus Humid Summer Kraken!!!

Well, we are experiencing our first rainfall of 2014 since December last year so I'm not complaining...

2014-03-01 11:18:11 PM
Wait, I'm supposed to wear pants while getting drunk?  WHY ISN'T THIS IN THE DRUNKARD'S MANUAL?

Gotta love TX weather. Currently 72 with a freezing rain watch.

Today the high was around 80. Tomorrow we'll be lucky to reach 40.

The Internet and apps.  I know I never watched TWC - I used Fahrenheit or Celsius on my phone.

Up here in Northern Alberta, we just chuckle at named winter storms.  And no - we wouldn't have a snow day.  Even when it's down to farking -40, we don't close up here.  It kind of sucks.

2014-03-01 11:20:14 PM
I spent half the day planting trees and seeding my yard.  New weeping willow and apple trees. Then hit a crawfish party. Winter?

Lost pants usually means at least  oneperson had a good time - so there's that.

I can tell from the 3 inches of snow on the ground that climate change is BS

Yeah, I didn't check the forecast when I went planting stuff. But since our winter "storms" last about 18 hours I should be fine.

/tomorrow, high 82 low 34

This shiat got old about a month ago.  Another 6 to 12 inches by Monday and probably another winter storm to go in March.  This only stiffens my resolve to win the Powerball and move to Tahiti.

2014-03-01 11:27:32 PM
Kansas side of Kansas City here (JOCO).  We got about an inch and the raccoon that eats my birdfood is being a major dick.  I hear raccoon is tasty if it's done right, any farkers have are recipe?

No, I don't.

That shiat was here yesterday and I don't recall seeing a thread about it then.

We already bought all the road salt, suckers.

2014-03-01 11:30:31 PM
When I was growing up on the east coast, this sort of thing would just be called "winter". If we got hit with more than 18 inches in one continuous snowfall, we'd call it a blizzard.

2014-03-01 11:31:06 PM
We might get a few more inches tonight, but that's not a storm, just a minor inconvenience and just annoying after this stupidly cold and snowy winter.  Have fun with your snow days (I did manage to have 1.5 snow days this winter, which is pretty rare around these parts).

2014-03-01 11:32:12 PM
Local news channels are absolutely losing their shiat over this one.  They were all disappointed last Thursday when their hyped up tornadoes didn't develop.  I'm assuming the pants-crapping over this winter storm is caused by a case of blue balls over no leveled trailer parks last week.

2014-03-01 11:32:40 PM
Already -10 outside with a foot of snow. Who cares if it is again tomorrow or the next day?

Titan? Hey, they named a huge snow storm after my cat!
Wait...
Wait...
I'm in upstate New York...
They're predicting snow in March...
That means...
90 degree weather in Albany tomorrow Baby!!! WhooWhoo!!!!!

How about watching a tornado on the horizon when the cold front moves in and the temp drops 30 degrees in about 3 seconds.  It's a weird green sky and you wonder what the hell... then there's golf-ball sized hail trying to kill you.  You should have stayed in the bar next to the girl from London who's losing her shiat.

Gonna rain again in CA tomorrow, and then next week it's back to being dry as fark.

Oh wait, the Titan storm? Good luck with that.

Ew, as long as it doesn't drizzle tomorrow I'll be all smiles.

The weird thing is that the East Coast has forgotten what that was like, or just wants to enjoy panicking with everyone else.

Pants optional is always a plus. But I think I might be afraid of her. I guess you're on your own.
