Bad News Bears?  WOOOOO!  One of my high school friends was in all three and his father and my father worked together.  Loved hearing the stories.

Hey, good news! You can watch "Just One of the Guys", fast forward to the part where she shows her tits, pause it, and jerk off in 90 seconds! It'll be just like you were 14 again!

is it the old B&W or the color remake?

/prefer the color remake these days.  the original is hard to watch, and that version where they added some new scenes is TERRIBLE.

Both. Pretty good list if you like late 60s-mid 70s movies.

Dear god. My movie selection a few years ago was 0. I pretty much piddle on the computer for my down time, the TV was for console games. Don't have cable, never have, and so on.

So my parents came to visit, and I just grabbed some DVDs from target without really thinking, just something to watch, and I knew Deniro was a great actor, and it's one of his first roles, and it's really famous.

...all of us got bored about an hour in but wouldn't admit it. I can't say it's a bad film, it's just long. Excessively long.

After that I bought a Roku and just showed them how to use it next time they visited.  And was surprised that they hated top gear, but enjoyed It's always sunny. And they're 50+, go figure.

End pointless story.

The Night of the Living Dead is now available on Rifftrax with commentary by the MST guys. I haven't watched it in years (I had the VHS tape with "Night of the Living Bread" as an extra, or as you might say, a side dish). I haven't watched it yet because my computer link was slow when I tried, but that is one great movie and I am sure that Rifftrax does it some justice.

I've never seen it. For years, I'd remark that I should whenever it came up, but was never in a situation where I could affect it while thinking about it. The other week I actually thought of it while at home with some spare time and pulled up the Netflix app on Ye Olde TiVo only to be disappointed to find it unavailable there.

I hope that Netflix keeps it available for at least seven or eight years as it'll be at least that long before I remember to check again.

I think I was 11 when I first watched Taxi Driver (was born well after it's original release, so this was just on a random, boring day after school). Bit of a mindf*ck to process at that age, but not nearly like the first time I saw Apocalypse Now, which was around the same time and literally left me staring into space thinking "...." for next hour or so.

Holy Crap, they've got The Guild?  I need to finish watching it, I lost track after they put new seasons on MSN or whatever they did to get a sponsor.  For some reason I don't recall I wasn't able to watch them there.  So this is a great thing.  There are also a few comedies that I'd watch.  Hell, I'll even watch Ghostbusters II just for the hell of it.  Maybe if enough people watch it, they'll get the rights to show Ghostbusters III.  I missed it when it hit the theaters.

\Rather bitter about that last bit.
\\God damn it all, it's too late now.  Bastages!

I took a film class a few years ago and this was one of the assigned movies. I'd never had any interest in it but it turned out to be one of my favorite films. The pace is a little slow but to me it just adds to the creep factor. And good lawd Cybil Shepherd was beautiful.

/still haven't seen Raging Bull.

It was required viewing for two different classes in the PWAD program at UNC. The chair was determined that anyone we sent to DC to work for any agency tasked with national security, saw that, Fail Safe with Walter Matthau, and The Russians Are Coming.

That reminds me of when I worked for a rental car company briefly... The training video was the Seinfeld episode where Jerry is trying to rent a car.

Csb...I've seen Taxi Driver 8 times. I was 14 years old the first time I saw it. The very next day, I cut up an old unused curtain track and used it to make a forearm mounted sliding track that held a knife. In the movie, Deniro had a gun on his track, but since I didn't own a gun back then, I improvised. In retrospect, I'm surprised my parents let me watch that movie at that age, and they didn't seem to be worried that I viewed Travis Bickle as a hero.

What amazes me is how much better the selection is in Europe.

If I point my VPN to one of the England servers, you get the European Netflix and it is fantastic.

Why do we get the Shaft?
