I shiat you not. From the tons of documentaries I've watched, I've learned quite a lot about Greece (there's tons of documentaries, because of the fascination with how a country can be so utterly farked up). One thing that was striking was that whilst there's rampant unemployment in Greece, illegal immigrants still have no problems working in market stalls.

Because apparently the Greeks don't want to. Maybe its to low status, or the earnings are too low? Who knows. Illegal immigrants don't care obviously, since they view life relative to where they came from.


Maybe it's the same in Spain, I don't know.

What I do know however, that whilst you're perhaps trying to be sarcastic, then reality is that they might not want to leave Spain. There's nothing for them in Northern Europe, except cold, and standing out like a soreb thump.

There has to a point at which Spain says "Enough of this crap.." and either builds a Israeli style wall,  electrifies the fence, starts using lethal force constantly or lays a mine field..
Someone is going to get around to doing a cost benefit analysis and realize that their country just isn't well off enough to take in a bunch of immigrants, most of which are probably illiterate,unskilled,
and may not speak Spanish.At some point in the near future it will be cheaper to just fortify their African outposts than take in the fence jumpers and have to deal with the bureaucracy of dealing
with them..

When I was in HS, I swam. We got little participation ribbons just for trying. At the larger meets, they'd give ribbons out to 16th place. Getting a "you tried" ribbon was always seen as mocking.

On a field ex, we had set up concertina wire around our site, with a small opening at the access tent. Someone had come by for something (I think an Army reporter), and on the way out he caught his foot on the bottom of the tent door and when sprawling outside. Hand first into the wire. Cut himself up quite nicely.

And in PLDC (now WLC) we were doing nighttime land nav training. They of course made the mistake of telling us it was for familiarization only, and wouldn't be scored. We couldn't use flashlights (only redlight lens, and only if stopped) and I was leading my group. Well in the first 5 minutes I walk smack into a roll of farking concertina that had been all overgrown, and would have had a hard time seeing even in the day light. Well after spending a few minutes getting myself de-porcupined, I said 'fark a bunch of this" and we found a nice comfortable spot to sit down in for two hours before we went back and reported we couldn't find any points.

I feel it's important to point out, based on appearance, that those guys are entirely from sub-Saharan Africa and therefore left their own shiatty failed state in order to pass through several other failed states (where they would have been shot or enslaved had they dared to stop) before getting to a Spanish exclave in Morocco.

Not to be cruel, but the Spanish economy is in el inodoro. They should be trebucheted back into Morocco to discourage the others.

I've always been amazed at the lengths people will go to and the risks they will take just to get to America.  Tie your ass to an inner tube and paddle to Key West from Cuba.  Lock the family up in a shipping container and pray you last the 40 days it takes you to get to a port.  And most will go on to become successful citizens.  Perhaps the same skills and strength they use to get here helps make them successful.

I doubt that will apply to this group.  i suspect some bleeding heart church group will sponsor the lot of them to come to America where they will learn to live off handouts.  When they get frustrated with that they will turn to terrorism and blow up the hand that feeds them.  Refer to the history of the Minnesota Lutheran Church and Somalian refugees as a perfect example.

I don't think you get how hard it is for an African to come to the US or another first-world country.  They have to wait in line, in person, in the heat, often for multiple days; they pay a fee for an application (high enough to buy food for a month, if not longer), and then they are typically turned down.

On the other hand, when I (US citizen) wanted to go to Africa, I mailed an application with a minor fee and was rapidly accepted.

As a US citizen, I can go anywhere in the world and get my paperwork rapidly processed.  I am welcomed.  I represent wealth and bring money.  They represent poverty and bring, at best, hard work, at worst, a drain on the system.  They don't have freedom of movement, I do.

I cannot possibly understand...but I get it.

CSB:  When I lived in Morocco, I had a camp of these folks about 200 yards from my house.  I had to walk by them to get to the super market.  I think it was a stop on the route from sub-Saharan Africa to Ceuta (the other Spanish enclave in Morocco) because I never saw the same people there.
