I recall Speaker Boehner's prank of shutting down the government for two weeks at a cost of twenty-four billion dollars and threatening to crash the global economy by allowing the United States of America to default on its financial obligations if the entire Republican policy agenda was not implemented into law. Truly, that man is a comedic genius.

Conservative Humor always makes me laugh. No not the joke, but the fact that people can actually laugh at those jokes.

"Splits? There are no splits in our party," Boehner said.

"Cracks, fissures, tears, ruptures," he continued, "crevasses, fractures, gaps, and breaches?  Sure.  But no splits.  And frankly I'm getting tired of these wild and inaccurate characterizations of the party.  We're in great shape."

FTA: Boehner's Republican Party, not always known for its unity, dropped the ball this week on passing an extension of national flood insurance - a priority for coastal lawmakers. Asked about the splits in his party, Boehner cracked another knee-slapper.

You know that happy feeling you get when you're about to quit a job you don't like, and you've got your next gig all lined up, but you still haven't told all the people you work with that you're outta there? So you get to have a few days of walking around being treated as if you're still an integral part of the team, but deep down inside you no longer give a f#ck about the the future of the company or any of your soon-to-be-former co-workers?

Yeah, he's got that feeling.

One, but he got ass cancer from using one of those compact fluorescent bulbs. And he got deathpaneled on the Obamacare. And also, Obama is black or something, I don't know.

Hmmm... what a weird thing to say.  He's essentially saying, "I miss doing this thing that I used to do.  Oh, by the way, I can still do it and I'm going to continue doing it forever."

Really?  How can you miss doing something you're absolutely able to do whenever you'd like?

Like, say, a $300 billion dollar plan to repair our crumbling infrastructure, crafted in a way that won't add a penny to the national debt?

Good comedy requires some empathy, and the Teabaggers are completely devoid of it. Or as the late, great Harold Ramis said:

"It's hard for winners to do comedy. Comedy is inherently subversive. We represent the underdog as comedy usually speaks for the lower classes. We attack the winners."
