I find that particular picture troubling.
Any prairie dog worth his salt can do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Up to 4 or 5 digits (unless they're autistic).
When facing a problem of "2+2", almost any prairie dog would think to himself, "shiat, this one's a cinch!" .

However, research has indicated that prairie dogs suck at both percentages and integrals.
When faced with something like "What is 17½% of F(x) = xq + 1/(q + 1) where x=4 and q is the square root of Jupiter?"
In that case, the most likely response from the prairie dog would be "shiat3..."
and a cat...

They also have a problem with quadratic equations. And frankly, after 40 years of not using that phrase I'm amazed I even remembered it.

Canadian Lurker: This week, my cat Sterling got sprayed by a skunk, again.
Considering his age and aggressive attitude, bathing him in tomato juice is no longer an option.
Fed up with his smelly stubborness, I told Sterling to go stick his head under a faucet or something.

You can get a recipe online for de-skunking wash.  It's baking soda with some peroxide and water, I believe.  Don't have it right here in front of me..... don't rinse them first!

2014-03-01 10:05:01 PM
I used tube sock...cut a hole for the head and two for the front legs one for the tail  leaves the business end ready for action and allows the cat to clean and curl up.

if it becomes soiled it can be washed or discarded as you choose

Will say for CaveGirlMel that a bodystocking is good subst for Cone Of Shame, esp for females needing fixed. Vet clinic we use, uses 'em, 3 sisters from GangOf5 all wore 'em.  Think their 2 bro's may've had to wear Cones.
Tried to type at ft of LucklyPg7 & failed; will say now was very pleased to read Our Fave Alien's typing on LuckyPgs6&7 both.  Regret injury, hope it either healed or is healing quickly.
This doesn't seem like Sat eve to me, after busy chorus retreat. This took place at Higher Ground, belongs to Church of the Nazarene, is in a dry county in SE IN near W Harrison. But facility is gorgeous, on numerous wooded acres & we were fed extremely well. If we book soon for next yr we may be able to get the motel-type bldg rather than college dorms w bunk beds. Could've actually had that this yr due to cancellation, but most of us had already paid up (motel-type bldg is $10 more each) & she who booked considered it best to proceed as begun rather than asking us all for more $$. Some of us are kinda skint anyway.

I made a thing earlier today by weiz.  Copied no comments from either imgur nor reddit, tho recall compliments for reflections in eyes.
May work; didn't shriek re too big.  The long late dearly loved Cheeky, Brit service family cat from WBerlin, looked rather like this but one of her eyes was wonky.  Bless her sweet heart, she lived to be 19.
Past time to feed Those In Charge, hope to leap back to salsa some more before calling it a night

peroxide, baking soda and a squirt of dishwashing soap..like Dawn..is the best thing to use on the kitteh for de-skunking.

what is the ratio?

Weirdly, I'm watching a back episode of Mythbusters right now, and they just claimed that that combination of products beat commercial de-skunking products.  Unfortunately, they didn't say what the ratio was.

GIS -  Mercola -  1 qt 3% peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, 2 tsp liquid dish detergent.....

thank you!!

I have never heard of scented nail polish!

I got it for the color and didn't even realize it was scented until much later. It's a dupe of the Debra Lippman "Mermaid's Dream" that's $20 while the Revlon Wintermint was $6 AND scented. The "scented" aspect completely slipped past the thinkin' and realizin' stuff centers of my brain because all of my energy up there was being used with "SHRIIIIIEEEEEEKKKK!!! MAH PRETTY!!! MINE!!!" You'd think I would have known with it being part of the "parfumerie" line, but I guess all that barely contained excitement over a nail polish uses a lot more of the ol' grey matter than I thought it did,.

Oh, yeah - I do remember scented nail polish from when I was a little girl. It was the kind geared towards little girls that you could peel off. Came in scents like bubblegum and strawberry. Anyone else remember those?

Btw, I ended up doing a French style tip with the color "Surf Spray" from the same line
i.ebayimg.com
then used Julep's "Geo" (limited edition from last summer or fall glitter)
mybeautyboxreview.com

and picked out the larger glitters to do a sort of line between the two colors. This will last a few days before I get tired of it and paint them again. For some reason I'm thinking I want to do a brown with a matte top coat (it's a neat effect and a nice change from the high gloss or color shifting stuff) and then pink accents or geometric designs in a microglitter or high gloss. This makes me wonder "do I have a dark chocolate brown?", and I've not budgeted nail polish this week, so that could make me kinda angsty unless I change my mind. "First world problems", indeed.

Now, a cat! Also, probably a story about me being shredded by a cat in a few minutes. It's monthly flea medicine day and I'm going to put some on my little semi-feral outdoor kitty too this time. It will be Moo's first flea medicine! AWWWWW!

/I'm totally not going to try and decorate either of the cats, though

So! Why the FARK is it my house cat is a nightmare to put the Advantage on every month and the feral cat just looks at me like "what is it, Mom? Do I haz a sumfing in my furs?" and then goes back to eating her gooshy fud treat? I swear, the Gogh Beastie did his usual routine of desperately trying to escape the minute I open the little tube, followed by a screaming that sounds like something out of a horror movie and then shaking his head back and forth like "NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!" and when it's all over and I FINALLY put him down, he runs full speed up the stairs, knocking *something* over up there that hit the floor with a very loud "boom!" and clawing his way under a bed where he is now hiding in terror - and the "wild" one doesn't give a fark.

:-/

I'm glad I did not get mangled and neither of them even tried, in other words.

Also am glad to hear Sherpa is dancing. I'll fetch the dollar bills. ;-p
