some asshole from some tiny district in Western Kansas introduces this kind of bullshiat almost every year and it never passes. This year won't be any different.

/also the guy who's been trying to get the "nude" statue in the OP Arboretum taken down is a pathetic little nobody who's been trying progressively crazier shiat over the last several years with no success.

Take a look at the outline of the area with God and then look at a drawing of the human brain.  More than a few people felt like this was Michelangelo putting in his own message right in the biggest religious institution in the world.

On the upside, it looks like this could give militant atheists grounds for getting the Bible kicked out of English literature classes as "offensive", which inevitable (in the event the bill becomes law) attempts should be good for a few Fark headlines.

Saint Bartholomew was skinned alive, so he's the one holding the knife and his skin.  The skin, however, is also a self portrait of Michelangelo.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway
Whatever it is, I'm against it!
No matter what it is
Or who commenced it
I'm against it!
Your proposition may be good
But let's have one thing understood
Whatever it is, I'm against it!
And even when you've changed it
Or condensed it
I'm against it!
I'm opposed to it
On general principles
I'm opposed to it!
(He's opposed to it)
(In fact, he says he's opposed to it!)
For months before my son was born
I used to yell from night to morn
"Whatever it is, I'm against it!"
And I've kept yelling
Since I first commenced it
"I'm against it!"

Teapublicans -- basically authoritarians - will not be happy until everyone thinks the right thoughts, sat the right words, see the right things, live the right lives and practice the right morals.   Why do they not see this as everything they ascribe to the left - thought control - sheep like behavior - dictatorial government - police state.  Are they stupid?

Interesting.  I've never heard that before.  The shape does seem odd now that I think about it.

I like to think of it as an illustration of how God is just a man made idea. Like, there's Adam, the first man, and he's peering into his own brain, inventing God from within his own mind.

I have a long ago given up on Kansas, i swear if this shiat keeps up it needs to have its statehood revoked ( if that is possible) and federal troops sent in to save the kansas territory and escourt  the former Governor and legislature to the nearest mental hospital.
