He might have to set that up via remote, he may have some trouble getting into the States, with the DUI and pot possession thing in Miami, and the admission of smoking crack and all...

Rob Ford just now had a presser to announce the city had rounded up some corporate cash to keep all the outdoor  skating rinks open a couple of extra weeks this year and then goes on a full rant about the Police Chief.  And that he won't apologize to the Chief for publicly (drunkenly) calling him a f*ckin' c*cksucker (Steak Queen vid.), and wants the Chief to apologize to him for investigating all his illegal activities for the last while and the taxpayers for wasting all their  money on that investigation.   nice.
Meanwhile, the official Mayors twitter welcomes the boy scouts national leadership this weekend.

I'd love to see him on Colbert.

Doug is up now... audio link to follow....  he really is pissy at the Chief.  wow.

Why not do both??

Well, he's got to make money to support his crack habit somehow.

Biff_Steel: I'd love to see him on Colbert.

That would be funny. And Ford would have no idea why it was funny.

But when I heard "Rob Ford" and "late night tv" in the same sentence my first thought was "lip-synch battle with Jimmy Fallon".

Funny, I hear "Rob Ford" and "late night" and my first thought is drug fueled Jack-In-The-Box binge.

We don't have Jack-In-The-Box up here. It's more likely he'd wander out into traffic while trying to get to a souvlaki cart.

Ford's press scrum today was ridiculous.  He's trying to get the cops to tip their hand early and act emotionally, so that they screw up.

I'm listening to the recording and haven't gotten that far yet. So far I'm just unnerved at how excited he is about announcing corporate funding of municipal facilities (skating rinks). Bragging that "not a dime of taxpayer money" is going to the operation of things that are intended to be taxpayer funded doesn't sit well with me.

In all fairness, I'd walk into traffic for good souvlaki

The funny thing is it's probably THANKS to police chief Bill Blair that Rob Ford never was arrested to cocaine possession etc, when he could easily have done so considering the surveillance.

But the Fords are so stupid that they're crapping on him instead.

I think GavinTheAlmighty is on to something with the trying to force the TPS's hand.  I've heard that the trip to Apple was productive for the investigation.  I suspect they're pretty much one domino away from having the whole thing put together and iron clad.  The Fords are hoping to provoke an emotional response, to get them to make an arrest before that last bit falls into place.

I can't wait for the perp walk  waddle. And I hope it's Blair doing it, with a huge, shiat-eating grin.

From the CBC's article about today's press scrum: "If he's going to arrest me, arrest me."
Too bad Chief Blair wasn't waiting in the wings with an arrest warrant. That'd have been comedy gold.

I pictured the same thing, then when his next sentence ("I've done nothing wrong") fell out of his mouth I thought "hmmm, seems he always says that right before being called out on something he's done wrong".

I lol'd again when he insisted Steak Queen is a "private setting".

It's the same as Harper's "Let me be clear" as a predicate before any complete and utter bullshiat falls from his mouth. I can't wait for the next Rob out on a binge & trying to connect to the commoners story, he's due for another any day now.
