Hillary Clinton: "I want all the schmucks that voted for Obama in 2008 to vote for me this time. I promise I won't make anymore "Hard-Working Americans, White Americans" comments or have staffers question the place of birth of my future opponent."

She would make a great moderate Republican president.

Shalala asked Clinton a series of questions from students, including one about the continuing turmoil in Syria. Clinton said the international community needs to stay focused on getting chemical weapons stocks out of Syria, adding that more pressure must be brought on President Bashar al-Assad's regime to "finish the job."

Boy, does that sound bad taken out of the full context.  That's exactly what I'm afraid he'll do.

Unless "full participation" means "tax earnings from stocks and other financial instruments the same way we do income," I don't like where this is going.

Hey I remember when Obama campaigned on the whole "lets empower the disenfranchised" rhetoric, too.

The dems need a real progressive candidate.   The moderate to conservative corporatist democrat faction needs to be put to pasture.

It'll be interesting to see how the Republicans decide to attack Hillary. The Benghazi tactic really hasn't worked out for them, and the OMG soshulist thing clearly is a non-starter. They can't go with "too old" after fielding McCain.

Vince Foster, maybe?

In many ways, that is the great success of the conservative noise machine.  It has pulled the public discourse so far to the right, that moderate to conservative democrats (like Obama and Hillary) are referred to with a straight face as "liberals."  And raising the minimum wage to keep up with inflation is considered a "leftist" agenda.

I'm sure that whatever the GOP decides to do, it will piss off women voters.  I'm so tired of having an opposition party full of mouth breathing, regressive morons.  It allows the democratic party to get away with fielding non-progressive, plutocrat fellating candidates like Hillary and Obama because, you know, who else are sane people going to vote for?

by then it's already a done deal Hillary for president so who gives a shiat, the real battle is again going to be the primaries and she will get attacked from the left I assume...

Rand Paul's already decided.  He's going with the "Hillary espoused traditional family values and a respect for the sanctity of marriage by working out her problems with her Husband instead of divorcing him when he got a hummer from Monica" tactic.

That's the main reason I don't want Clinton to be president. We need to take about ten steps to the left and Clinton won't do it. She'll be far better than anyone in the GOP but it seems like she will mostly maintain the status quo.

At some level I'd like to think that there really was an actual conservative think tank somewhere, a cabal of insanely smart and capable people that could pull off such a subtle yet powerful thought manipulation campaign.  That kind of of power could be harnessed for good right?  However, I know that such a thing just doesn't exist.  In reality, they have some tea-bagging geriatric knuckle dragger from the bible belt in a sensory deprivation tank.  He's hooked up to a series of sensors, and shown various images and words... ala Clockwork Orange.  Whatever gets a rise, that is what they pump into their media campaign.

Well I couldn't agree with you more. As a leftist, I'm thoroughly disgusted with the way the entire political spectrum has shifted to the right. And I'm not optimistic about that changing any time soon -  older than most farkers (over 50) and my supply of youthful optimism is utterly depleted.

The vaginas of mouth breathers are full with seed, more so than the vaginas of non-mouth breathers.  We can only hope the Latinos outbreed them.

Don't worry. The Ghetto peeps have the most seeds of them all. I hope you are willing to open up your pocket book to pay for them.

No she's to the right of Obama mostly, still way left of center and just as incompetent as ever. If she does a Reagan and listens to some good advisors, there's hope I guess. I am not optimistic though.

That's definitely an insane thing to believe. One or two isolated crazy thoughts like that are normal for a person to have but if you've got more these "people" might be right.

People could still vote - but each vote would count towards the "Priorities Ranking" that gets fed into the algorithm. Then Big Blue would model it all out & then start printing out new laws or changes to existing law. SCOTUS would review & approve. Then we could throw rocks at the machine & swing through the trees just like nature intended.
