I would be more worried about the chocolate in the brownies than the pot in the brownies affecting the dogs.  Seen a lot of stoners in my days, seen a lot of stoners pets too.  Knew a kid and his German Sheppard who had tripped more times together on shrooms than I thought was possible in a dogs short life.  It was the most mellow former police dog I had ever seen.  Buddy said he couldnt keep the hard stuff in the house without his dog finding it and eating it,  too many close calls and he liked his dog more than his dust.  Which you probably dont understand is saying a lot.

Nothing beats stoner cat lady though.  Every time we hanged out there you wouldnt see a cat anywhere.  Soon as she broke out the pipe, 6 cats sudden appear around her outa nowhere.

There is something excellent about tripping on shrooms with a police dog.

BTW, a well known fact is that an overdose of xanthine alkaloids induces urinary urgency and incontinence.
In English, chocolate, caffeine, et.al.
A "real" vet would know that.

True story: on a girls weekend the English Sheepdog of our host managed to get on the kitchen counter and into a plastic food container that had some special brownies in it.  I was more concerned about him eating the chocolate, but owner checked him over and wasn't concerned. The dog was like a floor rug all night, so...looking like his usual self.

I like how the they gotta start with the fear angle..."An animal hospital in Denver is seeing an increasing number of dogs who have eaten edible marijuana and is finding that the diagnosis isn't good."

Though when you read down, the worst that happens is the dogs pee on the floor a bit more.  BFD.

I've eaten chocolate with all my dogs over 30 years. Moderation?
The Macadamia nuts one of them stole from the kitchen table damn near killed her though. Even stumped the vet for a couple of hours with the rare syndrome they cause.

dogs are much more amusing with a Budweiser tall-boy in them... I know my Labrador was...(brother gave him the beer)... when my mom asked what was wrong with him (after he tripped over the phone 3 times in a span of 30sec) we were busted (laughed like maniacs)... we were young...

So which breed makes the best beer snob?

Deja vu all over again.

Overdose of chocolate makes dogs pee.

Never observed it, but more study is definitely needed on question of marijuana making them incontinent.

My buddies cat used to follow us to the backporch (where we'd light up) all the time.  He'd hop on the lap of who ever was carrying the pipe and after a few hits he would melt over your knee and just drool and purr for the next hour.  If you moved you had to pick him up and place him somewhere he couldn't fall off of.

...then one day we walked out back and he didn't follow...because he was frozen to the porch

I had a 12 year old 25lb Border Collie eat a 2lb fudge duck AND all of the cellophane grass in the basket with it.  Nothing happened at all other than weird plastic grass-poop....and she lived another 5-6 years so I've always written it off as an urban legend

I live in Minnesota.
Not sure on cats, but we lose a perfectly good(?) human to alcohol and the great outdoors here about once a week, lately, it seems.

Unlike rape, "chocolate" comes both "flavored" and "real".
Some dogs tolerate differently than others.
The rest is just "fiber".

Most American 'chocolate' isn't real chocolate just like velveeta and kraft singles aren't real cheese. But through legal trickery they still get to use the word.

/'temporary coma' was probably more like the canine equivalent of 'couch lock'
//not fun when it lasts several hours, but, like they say, you'll get over it

I've used often enough, and the only time I've had the munchies is when I should be hungry anyways.  It just makes my hunger pangs magnified.  If I eat beforehand, no munchies.  But that's just me.

Is it individuals reacting differently, or is the munchies a myth? Does anyone know?

Lord, if we have a supposed obesity epidemic now, legal pot is going to take things to eleven (assuming the munchies are real). Might have to legalise meth to get everyone's weight back down.
