Impressive.
They voted 50 times to repeal ObamaCare and dont have a replacement bill??
I guess they just loved things the way they were.

Not like poor people were ever going to vote for the GOP.
Well, not counting poor white christian people.

The GOP's task is a fool's errand and they know it. There is one, simple, intractable problem that they can't get around:

If you get rid of the mandate, you also have to get rid of forcing insurance to accept people regardless of preexisting conditions.

Americans will never accept being turned away, or worse, having their coverage retroactively dropped, due to preexisting conditions.

There is therefore no solution for the GOP.

They won't actually come up with a Republican alternative to ObamaCare. They can't without doing things that they have condemned ObamaCare for doing like costing a metric shiat-ton of money and shredding the insurance plans millions of Americans currently have.

...and this time they really mean it.  Totes cereal.

The CBO just scored their vaunted alternative bill.  It would cost 1 million people their insurance, and raise the deficit by $74B.

Yep. The ACA contains every provision they would offer in opposition to a single-payer bill. They have nowhere to go that doesn't make them look like they are deliberately trying to take health insurance away from people.

Yeah, but this week the CBO full of shiat.

The Republicans have already proposed a conservative alternative to the Democrats proposed healthcare system overhauls of recent decades.

It's called the Affordable Care Act.

I mean, they could pass single-payer and win a generation of voters. But we're talking about the world's tiniest tent. ;-)

You are totally wrong.  There is a simple solution that will work to make sure all Americans are afforded healthcare.

That solution is tax cuts.

Once you cut taxes, companies will hire everyone and put them on their insurance rolls. Thats the way it has never worked, but it will work this time if we cut taxes enough.

Sure, because the private sector loves giving things away. And everyone is an employee.

ObamaCare in a nutshell.

The Democrats came along and set a house on fire and there are people inside screaming for help and now they are frantically waving their arms and blocking access to the house "Well maybe that wasn't such a great idea but you don't have a better one yet! You can't put out our fire and save people from it until you have a better idea!"

The GOPs idea could be summed up as "Not letting the Democrats burn the house down simply because the house needed some repair work", this is precisely what liberals accused Bush of trying to with Social Security, and it was BS, but now that it's actually true... about something Democrats are doing... Hrm...

Oh yeah, and speaking of Bush, when 50.00001% of the people side against the Iraq war, it's time to stop it immediately and abandon it that very second, but when the majority sides against ObamaCare, well, the people never reject liberal ideas, they were just tricked, ignore them.

Wait there is what Mitt Romney suggested Obama to do in the first place:

Oh wait that's what Obama actually did, but Romney and Republicans still attacked it and the press ignored it completely.

How are Democrats stopping Republicans from coming up with their own alternative plan exactly?

I love how you right wingers always blame Democrats for the actions of Republicans.  How does it feel to support a party that is incapable to think for themselves and has no responsibility for their own actions?

The Republicans have no plans for replacing Obamacare, because Obamacare WAS their plan. A plan, mind you, that they have spent the past five years demonizing to anyone who will listen to render the thought of this plan toxic.

They've dug themselves deep into their own foxholes and there's no way out.

It's a simple plan: let the market work as it needs to. I'm sure someone will see the enterprise in the sick and dying lining the streets and overflowing the clinics and it will all be addressed by simple entrepreneurship and opportunity.

That sounds about right. The GOP are pissed that the plan that they came up with in the first place was implemented by Obama. They are pissed that it is working despite the fact that they have tried everything possible to sabotage the law. They are pissed that it is working and there is nothing they can do to make it go away other than repeal. All they have are total lies that are not based in reality.

Which you don't.

ObamaCare did not set the house on fire.

Healthcare spending is growing at the slowest rate that we've seen in decades.

Economic growth this year is forecast at 3.2%.

The deficit is reducing at an almost reckless speed.

ObamaCare is not wrecking the economy or the healthcare system.

It is not the end of all the fixes that need to be done to our healthcare system, but it sets up a foundation for further fixes. It makes sure that all further fixes to our healthcare system will include people who are poor or have pre-existing conditions.

I'm sure that everyone wants those features.
