Wodan11: I find myself torn.  There's plenty of derp to go around, but also some legitimate issues on both sides.

I suppose, Florida.

Torn about which part? The part where the woman used the sewer despite not paying her sewer bill? The part where the woman admitted that she was doing that? Or the part where the woman admitted that she planned to continue to use the sewer, but had no intention of ever paying her sewer bill?

There are three things that are certain in this world: Death. Taxes. Hypocrisy of Teahadists.

Consider what happened in Texas recently.   Texas utility companies were trying to install "smart" electric meters to better manage power consumption.  The usual suspects came out with their AK-47s and cased off the utility workers because they didn't want, "No "Bama spy meter on my house!".   Funny thing is, Texas has an independent electric grid that's not connected to the rest of the country, and doesn't get subsidies from Washington.

Well, a few months later, a storm blew through large parts of Texas that pulled down power lines and the electric service heads on people's homes.   The service head in not the responsibility of the power company, it is the responsibility of the property owner.  The same people who didn't want no Obama meters were waving around their AK-47s saying, "Somebody better connect my 'lektic rite now or there is gonna be trouble!"

I recently moved to Cape Coral. Absolutely everything here is fake. Man made canals, imported trees and shrubs, planted grass...  hell, even the sand is dug up elsewhere before it is dumped here.

This place ain't the woods. It's a planned community, designed in a grid pattern (Heh).

Anyway, a minimally used sewer line around here has a tendency to rust shut, causing serious backflow issues. Also creates a breeding ground for cockroaches, or whatever the colorful local slang for that pest is.

I love it here, but Florida is definitely 'America's Sewer Drain'.

My monthly water bill is about $45. Of that, less than $2 is for actual water usage, the rest is for sewer, trash pick up, storm water processing and various other taxes and fees.

So this lady thinks she should be able to use services and not pay for them. She's a farking idiot.

Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: I finally educated myself and went completely natural... When Zenny died he had been off all meds...

Sounds like some basic cause and effect right there.

FTA: Also discussed at the special hearing was the fact that Speronis had been using the sewer system for the past year yet not paying for the service amassing a past due bill in the thousands. After her testimony admitting that she had used the service without paying for it, the city decided to cap the sewer line. Connie Barron, Cape Coral spokesperson told The News-Press, "She also gave clear indications she does not intend to pay for this service but intends to continue to use the system. We really had no choice but to cap the sewer."

Speronis' time living on the grid hasn't gone so well for her either. As reported by the Cape Coral Daily Breeze , in June 2011, she plead no content to larceny, and was sentenced to 10 years of state probation and ordered to pay $32,000 in restitution. In January 2012, she had her real estate license revoked following a second complaint that she had not returned a $3,500 deposit following a failed condo sale.

Yeah, that's a delicate snowflake being railroaded by evil gobberment minions.

qorkfiend: "I want to live off the grid! HOW DARE YOU TAKE ME OFF THE GRID?"

The best part is that she admits that she has been using it without paying, and then admits that she has no intention of EVER paying.  Biatch screwed herself in this one.
