If you can't trade him to get his contract off the books, this is a good second option

Indeed.

Oh, Knicks. What a difference 1 year makes. You looked like legit contenders last year, now you're back to being a perennial joke.

Now I know what it feels like to be a Mets fan.

No.  Not even close.

PowerSlacker: No. Not even close.

They made the conference semis, and beat some good teams during the regular season.

I know it's the past, and there's really no reason to argue it, but I'll just say it appears that our definition of close is different, and leave it at that before I get into some pointless argument.

Subby, you really should have allowed us to play "Guess the sport" in your headline, although I suppose this would have been a lay-up, so to speak.

They couldn't even get past Indiana.  No way were they going to beat Miami and the Western champion.

They only looked legit because they play in the East.

How did the cops find out that he had a gun?

His ex turned them in to the police.

Look, this is the Knicks we're talking about.  I don't think any of us were under the delusion that they were going all the way, but 50+ wins looked like something they could build on for the future.  Now, in just a year, they're back to being terrible.  But of course nothing is going to change because the Garden is always making money, which is why Knicks basketball sucks.

I understand that they lost the series 4-2. It could have been different had Woodson tried a different approach.

PowerSlacker: No way were they going to beat Miami

They have quite a bit of success against Miami. Now, though, probably not.

PowerSlacker: and the Western champion.

Always a tough test for any team.

Oh, they were never legit.  Their whole game last season was living or dying by the 3-ball and hoping 'Melo carried them.

What was funny as hell was hearing Chad Ford mention on the BS Report that the Knicks were thinking about trading for Jeremy Lin from Houston.

Yeah, THAT Jeremy Lin.  The same one that fat farking troll Jim Dolan let go to Houston because Jim Dolan's a farking moron.

That made me fall out of my seat LMAO.

Now I know what it feels like to be a Mets fan.

At least Mets fans have hope with the young arms in their farm system.  The Knicks are in cap hell for the forseeable future.

if shooting yourself in the leg gets you 2 years, what does pointing a gun at someone else's face get?

She tried to take the donuts and Ray Felton doesn't like when people try to take his donuts

He couldn't possibly be a thug because UNC recruits on character, not talent.

You can't spell "Felton" without "felon."

Thanks for being race into this, you're not the one that's racist at all, it's everyone else who didn't even bring it up!

Hmmmm TrailBlazers get rid of Felton, they float to the top. The Knicks get Felton and they go down. Possible pattern?

Oh they sure do hate some Raymond Felton in Portland. Stupid, fat, and 'always on the schneid' is no way to go through life, son.

Raleigh, because of course. The insults that float over from Durham usually lack that special sour grape twang.

Cary, actually, just moved there after 11 years in Chapel Hill.

/UNC fan, mildly.

Is this a repeat from yesterday.

Knicks two year commitment to World Peace goes sour.

Fair enough. And I didn't mean to imply that he's not a dumbass; that was just a spot-on impression of every State fan I know.

/also recently relocated after lots of years in CH

My excuse to my State Fan co-workers was actually "He was a Doherty recruit"

I think close as in step two on a journey of a thousand miles where before and now they are on step one close.

I've seen some Knick fans on other sites still defending the decision to take Felton over Jeremy Lin.

How's that working out for you now, Dolan?
