(Today)   You know who we haven't heard from lately? Toronto mayor Rob Ford. Anyway, he's pledged to give up drinking, which is usually the starter's gun announcing another one of his public benders   (today.com) divider line 130

It's not heavy drinking if he loses weight.

Heads-up from the WTFark video team here:

We may do a WTFark video about this submission and may pick one or two comments from this thread to use in the making of the video. If your comment is used, you will be credited (by handle) at the end of the video. If you have a problem with that and want your handle/comment ignored, then please let us know here. Otherwise, we will assume all are fair game. If you are the subby and want credit, please let us know here as well.

Here's how it works. We will keep track of whose comments we use and when you reach a certain threshold (five times, maybe) we will give you a small gift as a token of gratitude. Say, a Fark bar towel and a free month of TotalFark. If, as time goes on, and we seem to be using more and more of your comments, we will up the ante with some premium liquor for those of you who partake or something else equally appealing for those of you who don't.

The videos will live in the right sidebar here on fark.com and in their natural habitat on ora.tv/wtfark. Click if you like them. Don't if you don't.

We thank you for your support.

something tells me Ford's not a small-batch bourbon kind of guy. Seems more MD 20/20.

Heavy drinking passed him all right, but in a porcine flash of speed and spittle he made up the loss and finished the competition.

I know Rob Ford. We shared an igloo together once.

And a $20 Montreal hooker.

What's beyond heavy drinking? Coke fueled week long bender? Butt chugging a keg?

They are designing for mobile instead of using a responsive layout. Really horrid decision. Probably made by a VP who never had to design a website.

Why did Rob Ford get caught jaywalking in Coquitlam?

He was trying to catch up to heavy drinking when it got past him.

Keep your camera-phones at the ready Canada, he's gonna fall off the wagon in epic style. Get your video footage for youtube before his handlers get him back under control.

I heard from him this week, subby. There were pics from the dumb fool walking into a fir hydrant online yesterday I think.

This guy is the gift that keeps on giving, I swear.

On Tuesday, Ford denied he has a substance abuse problem.
"I don't use illegal drugs. I've experimented with them, probably a year ago, but I don't use drugs. We're in great shape," he said.

I don't have a problem, and I can quit whenever I want.

It's not surprising. He's probably estranged with the concept of walking in straight lines.

He's not wrong. Round is a shape, after all.

But just the other day he injured his groin by walking into a fire hydrant.

It's been like that for a month. It's too bad, I used to think that was a decent site to get a quick rundown of the day's headlines. Now it's completely unfarkingreadable.

For adding fuel to the fire, I would guess?

Well, when he says "we're in great shape", he's referring to the talking crack rock that always urges him to do things.. It's nice that they have a loving, stable relationship...

Not only that, but what story did you get for the main screen? I got the freaky huge pregnant Chinese lady. After I recovered, I had to click through to get to the Rob Ford story. Eyes were rolled back in her head like she was dead, and the kid had his head to her stomach like he was listening to the zombie baby ripping its way out...

At least that's the picture I saw... I think it links directly to the Ford story now, so just in case, here's what I got to see on that site the first time.

Have you ever been to Toronto? Mayor Ford should commended for attempting to find a common ground with his citizens.

Sadly, Ford is probably on the same route Farley went down.

Yeah, that's about what I saw - the worst page ever.  It's not only headache inducing but you have to scroll through everything just to find the story you want.

What a terrible design.

Yeah, he sort of reminds me of Chris Farley at his worst (or was it his best?) I get them confused.
You expect him to fall on a table and break it at any time.

In his defense, a gut like that can block a lot of the downward viewing angle.
