Jim_Callahan: Benzene and formaldehyde? Are we letting the guys that failed out of school before sixth grade write columns involving technical subjects now? Here, 5 bloody seconds of google can help you out there:[www.exxonmobilperspectives.com image 420x468]// I know, I know, the article's about the workers, not the science, but still, that's like leading with an off-hand comment about how everyone knows the world is flat or something.// Chart is after the 99.5% that's water and sand, by the way.
Pangea: Pick: Article is MAJOR FAIL. "Fracking" is not a "drilling method". It is a process to develop a well after it has been drilled. It is also NOT controversial. It is a solid practice that works almost every time.I hate to break it to you, but the media has been lying to you. This is nothing new. They have been fracturing wells almost since day one of the petroleum industry. Back in the late 1800's it was done with nitroglycerine, that was lowered into the wells in a "torpedo" that was detonated.Well then. Thanks for clearing that up. No reason for anyone to have any further concerns.[www.nofrackingway.us image 670x504]
