Sometimes all that repetition can wear you down and there's no other way than to slow down.

I have no idea what goes on in the mind of your usual Britpop cranky asshole who can't get along with others, but that last Gorillaz "album" that he reportedly recorded in a hotel room sounded exactly like a dumbass recording an album in a hotel room cause he was pissed off at the other guy.

That wasn't a Gorillaz album, that was Albarn drunk and alone in a room and thinking he didn't need anyone else. That album is horrific and I'm a huge Blur and Gorillaz fan.

Get over your bullshiat, Albarn, and just make some damn music. Oh right, the Beatles could only stand to be around each other for like 5 years too. Well grow the fark up, Brits.

No Subby, more like WOO HOO!

And that is not meant to be a pun on Song 2.

Well, Song 2 is the only song I think of when I hear of Blur. I guess they are not that big here in America but must be a huge hit in their homeland UK. Right or wrong?

The Pittsburgh Penguins need to bring Song 2 back as their goal scoring song if they haven't already.

They're enormous in Europe. I have a friend in France who knows Albarn socially, and she got me into Blur -- about whom I knew nothing -- a few years back. Their overall output is very good. The U.S. is missing out on some great stuff by ignoring them.

Keep churning out music, man.  I love that he has tons of project, with different styles, going on at once.

I once flew from Tampa to Boston to see Ferry. Then, I drove from Tampa to Miami for a show. Why he never took off in the states, I'm certain I'll never know.

PS: Rowr.

He's touring this year. I'm going to see him at least once, whatever it takes.

I consider myself a Gorillaz and Blur fan as well, but I'm confused. When you say "that last Gorillaz album" are you referring to Plastic Beach, or to that free thing they released after that? 'Cause I only heard the former, which, while flawed, was still overall quite good.

That free thing they released... I figured there was no way it could be any good if they decided it wasn't worth charging money for, considering this is the guy who thought Gorillaz v Spacemonkeyz was worth charging for.

All that said... I do think Blur needs to stay gone. Reunions are rarely ever worth it.

The one after that. I liked Plastic Beach quite a lot. I can't even remember the name of that bullshiat album, but it did not deserve the Gorillaz name with it. It quite literally is Albarn playing with his new Apple tablet in a hotel room and that's exactly what it sounds like.
