There are only so many saints in the world - and only so many saints want to work for CPS.

There is always an opening at CPS because even 99% of social workers wouldn't touch the job with a 10 foot pole. You need a masters degree to maybe bring home $20 an hour.
Job perks include going into peoples homes to investigate potentially hostile, violent people in the worst part of town. Seeing innocent babies suffering. Knowing your taking kids out of one terrible situation to put them in another one like foster care.

Most CPS workers burn out or develop mental health issues within 2 years. Then they are seen as villains by much of their community, there are no parades for CPS workers.

Always seemed like there should be a better way, it's a rotten job. I admire the good ones, I couldn't do it.

Harry Freakstorm: You drop a bag of dope.  If they return it to you, then they're being honest and they get a 5% honesty bump  in their entitlements.  If they take the dope and sell it, they need more money so they get a 5% bump in their entitlements.  But if they take the dope and use it, then they gotta have a 10% bump in their entitlements cause they are on some serious stuff and you don't to to piss them off.

You realize of course that CPS has absolutely nothing to do with entitlements? I mean lets not let facts get in the way of some derp. Never stopped anyone before.

This would be one of those "I invoke my Fifth Amendment right to remain silent" moments, but some people just don't know when to stop talking.

CPS should be allowed... leeway... with substance laws.  Between the shiatty pay, high case loads, and insane parents, they deserve some chemically induced bliss.

/Shouldn't be heroin though
//Why yes my CPS friend is a sober saint
///Who has seen clients spank their children with knives
