i'm guessing this cartoonist has never seen this.

we are all going to pretend the menu labeling rule doesn't exist for this thread, right?

Won't somebody think of the hundreds of thousands of business that had to close down when the FDA demanded they print ingredients and nutritional info on their labels?

If these governors don't want to follow the will of the populace, I guess we can find ones that do.  Funny how that works in a Democracy.

Unaffordable and unsustainable.  Yeah, republicans are going to be falling all over themselves to take credit for that.  And Americans are going to fall in love with that program (being dependent on a government program is not the same as liking it.)  And businesses that blame Obamacare for raising their prices are *actually* forced to raise their prices because of Obamacare.  Surprise, surprise, Obamacare makes the costs of doing business higher.  Lots of denial going on in this thread.  I see some people have completely convinced themselves they are in an alternate reality.  When it all comes crashing down, they are going to be in for a shock.

Yes, you're the only one in touch with reality here.

SlothB77: Reading the comments in this thread, it is like everyone else is living in an alternate reality.

"We're just trying to make the best of a bad situation," said Republican Gov. Terry Branstad of Iowa, who called the health care law "unaffordable and unsustainable" yet something he has to implement by law. "We're trying to make it work as best we can for the people of Iowa."

You know who else made "the costs of doing business higher "?  Abraham Lincoln.  Rich southerners hated him too.

Sounds like the fiscally conservative 43 attempts to dissolve it were worth it.

Of course it is. What will be amusing is how over the next 20 years or so, the Republicans reframe this so "Obamacare" was a disaster mitigated by careful and thoughtful Republican intervention, eventually becoming the "ACA" which everyone knows and loves.
OK, that itself might not be so funny; that's just politics as usual. What will be funny is how the American people actually believe it.
