All I want Real Sociedad to do is to emulate Athletic Bilbao and make the game as hard as they can for Barcelona. Going full Bilbao and winning would be a bonus.

Also, can Good Shelvey show up for the Liverpool match? I just hope Swansea plays like they did against Napoli, except with Bony having some shooting ability. He played badly on Thursday.

Come. On. You. Irons.

Also today: Morecambe v the MIGHTY Oxford United.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'd actually prefer to see Liverpool win the league than Chelsea.

2014-02-22 07:45:31 AM
The reason for Crystal Palace's win today is that they are better than United. Since Pulis took over they have a higher points-per-game record. Palace have 22 points from 14 games, United have 22 from 15 games.

Oh look a hand ball by a Chelsea player in the box was ruled accidental. Colour me shocked.

Euro 2016 qualifying draw takes place tomorrow morning. France as hosts and 23 of 53 nations qualify.

England will qualify, scratch and claw their way out of a group they should have won easily, then lose in the semi-final. On penalties.

Looks like my 1-1 pred was a wise decision.

Semi-final? That's optimistic :-)

Afternoon all.

FFPL report to follow shortly..

I hate when Chelsea and Everton play. I worry that something will happen to tear apart Rog and Davo.

It's the Euro's so semi finals is doable, the world cup will be quaters at best.

And thats where we are. Any one who says England can win the WC without immense amount of luck is either trying to sell newspapers/airtime or is an idiot. Not one Enland player would get into the Spainish or Brazilian team.

Also the ref in the Italy Scotland game is sporting one of the best beards in the match.

C'mon Italy.

Double dose of bad news for Man Utd. First, Palace have never beaten United in the Premier League. Their last win was in May 1991 in the old Division One. Second, when Tony Pulis managed Stoke he never got a win, gaining just one draw and nine losses in their ten meetings.

Couple of big records there for Moyes to break.

TIMMAY!!!!  Huge saves there.

It is your FFPL report!

So, Round 22.

Echoing Hirohito, 'The results were not necessarily to our advantage'.

Results from 25th to 16th: -75, -30, -70, -90, -60, -65, -90, -70, -20, -70.

Nathanjr stays at the top. The top fell 20pts. I narrow the gap slightly but lose my banker after weeks and weeks and weeks thanks to someone now on £300,000 a week and his indolent pals. Wynswrld someway back in third.

At the bottom Cameroncrazy1984 the lowest with a pulse.

Top score of the round was krej55 with a nice round +100. A Toon 1-2 with Obamartins on 70. Stimied in third with +55.

The biggest dilations belong to dietbubba who was severely reamed by the second half of the round and co-fistee NorfolkingChance  - both handing back 90pts, or getting on for 10% of the points they accumulated in the preceding 21 rounds combined. Princips_Sandwich and StRalphtheLiar both with -75's. This is the weekend they didn't play golf.

Rev.K scores an above average +25 in reversoland. Natch.

Three zombies taken out and shot. Those lucky bastards. Cognitive_Displaysia, Chupacabra_Sandwich [of whom I had such high hopes] and Cajnik - you still breathing?

Banker Bonus Presidency descends to Sachbash, who retained it by not playing it amongst a -40pt gouging. What a WHOPR. StRalphtheLiar the only Maxed Banker otherwise. Only one other player with any BB at all - Stimied.

LucklessWonder climbs 4 through a 45.  Desertgeek scored -60 and climbs one.

Globally I'm the 5th highest Toon fan. Global top score of the round was +220. Player name? Mickeymouse. FFPL climbed up 7 spots in the league of leagues rankings to 165th.

We'll never speak of this round again, ok?

I hate it when a player stands near the edge of the box doing a bunch of stepovers like a complete Nani instead of playing the obvious pass.

I've only been watching the last 15-30 minutes and Chelsea is coming off as a biatch team who can dish it out but can't take it.

Good Christ I knew it was bad but not that bad

Starts with the manager...

Last round was a good round for me.  I missed this game, but maybe it won't matter. We'll see.

2014-02-22 09:28:41 AM
Brains!...Brains!!...

Still here, just haven't had much to get excited about this season. It's been a slog. Maybe third manager of the season is the charm? Also, anyone know of any way to view Championship matches in the States? Do they make replays available online or anything?

What the hell is Barkley doing?

I'm not a racist, but...

Thanks for changing a -10 to a +15.

Ugh, that was unfortunate.  Chelsea players being rewarded for going to ground so easily.

I don't know, Suar....

No, what am I thinking, the biggest coont in the league swings it from -10 to +30

Well, Terry should have been called offsides there, the ball was headed on the way in and Terry interefered with the keeper from offsides.  fark you ref.

So it was a John Terry goal, then a Frank Lampard goal, and now a Tim Howard OG. Dubious Goals Committee to the the white courtesy phone....

Eh, I feel kind of pissy posting about it. It was close and debatable.  At least a handball would have been noticed by the commentators.

2014-02-22 10:25:13 AM
Choosing to watch West Ham/Southampton was a good call

2014-02-22 10:27:42 AM
Arsenal trying to walk the ball into the net again. Just take the freakin' shot.

Woo, Dejagah!! 1-0 to FFC!

2014-02-22 10:32:42 AM

Meh... I didn't see a matchup that interested me enough to change away from the US Finland hockey game.
