And of course, NBColympics.com doesn't have the links ready to go yet.

Never mind.  Found them.  For those of you using NBColympics.com to stream.  Go under the Watch Video tab.  The link for the even should be in there.

Snowboard Parallel Slalom.

Parallel slalom (#PSL) is pretty similar to Wednesday's parallel giant slalom (PGS) contest, but gates are spaced tighter together.

Last full day of competition.

Always hate saying that... though in this case I'm less sad than usual.

By the way, construction in Sochi is still going on, in full-on denial of the fact that the stuff they're building is now only 48 hours away from being surplus to future requirements.

USA has to play for a BRONZE medal today??

Best:  North Coast Brewing Old Stock Ale

Worst:  Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout.  Although, this wasn't the beer's fault.  4 of the beers were in a flight of beer floats I had for dessert.  You got to pick 4 beers and could put any ice cream (the choices were vanilla, chocolate, smoked buttermilk, and mint chocolate) in any beer.  I thought it would be interesting to try mint chocolate chip with a stout, this was a tragic error.  The combination tasted like vomit.

Removing the ice cream quotient, I'd say that the Weston Brewery Porter #5 was the worst.  Decent, but just too bitter for my taste.  I like my porters rich.

My list from dinner in order consumed:
1. North Coast Brewing Old Stock Ale
2. Weston Brewery Porter #5
3. Left Hand Ambidextrous VI (smoked buttermilk ice cream float)
4. Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (chocolate ice cream float)
5. A Belgian Strong Dark Ale who's name I can't remember (vanilla ice cream float)
6. Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout (mint chocolate chip ice cream float)

For men's hockey gold?  In my case, this melts me and I can't help but cheer for Canada.

I'll say this: the course they have mapped out for the F1 race there in October has a lot of potential. But will people want to go there or will all the things we were worried about in the run up to these Olympics rear their heads again in the weeks before the Russian GP?

Personally, no one came to these Olympics and no one's going to come to any of those races. The legacy of these Olympics will be much like the legacy of the Beijing 2008 games: some venues get use, but most become abandoned buildings.

Who's the course designer? Any answer that isn't 'Hermann Tilke' is acceptable.

You should know who designed it by now. But there's only one real "tilke" area on the track.

Cut the guy some slack.  It's hard to improve your golf game when you're making deep playoff runs year after year.

The boy can only cry wolf so many times (without producing a wolf) before people call shenanigans. If nobody bombs this venue or the paralympics then the F1 race is golden. FIFA too.

The hell of it is, the media's walking off declaring the Games a success, just on the super-low 'well, nothing exploded in downtown Sochi' criteria. And then they're painting everything else with the 'success' brush. Quality venues? The hell Olympics is Costas watching? The hell athletes is he interviewing? They've complained up and down about the venues all Games long.

I watched the last 2 periods with my boss at a bar in hells kitchen then went back to work. Three beers. after work, had a beer at Penn, then another two on the ride home. Had dinner withe the fam. Hit a bottle of ketel one that was lying around, it was already started last week, so figure maybe 600 ml of that. Also some other that I have stockpiled

So I'm pretty lit up and so tired of freezing my balls off I'm ready to call a cab to EWR and hop a flight to anywhere south of JAX.

I'm PERSONALLY labeling them a successful failure.  The games had beautiful buildings (that were half done), beautiful scenery (before ALL the snow seemed to melt), no gay athletes or spectators were harmed (unless you count Pussy Riot), the snow was top notch (for the first 2 days).

EVERYTHING to these games HAS had a downside?  The only upside so far: NO TERRORISM...well...unless you count what Ukraine's Russian backed government is doing to their own people.

Jesus, there's a whole army of Russians fixing that course. farking awesome.
