It's like The Weekly World News and The Globe whether Bat Boy is really Elvis or just one of his love children with an alien.

I think the bigger danger is laying the groundwork for tyranny that cannot be easily undone when he's gone.

You mean like the Patriot Act?

Didn't watch the video, but this doesn't look like a "vs." situation so much as "Farah & Jones circlejerk their way to Crazytown"

When the foundation of your argument is "I don't know what is going on, it's crazy!", well.... there's no discussion.

I didn't like all of their songs, but I do have their CD somewhere laying around my mom's house.

I'm sorry, but anyone who was surprised or shocked by the NSA "scandal" doesn't have a lick of common sense. I knew that was going to happen the day the PATRIOT Act passed. I'd wager they were already dabbling in it even before that point, probably even going back into the Clinton Administration.

From my perspective, the real reason to be angry about it is that it's an incredibly bloated and inefficient system for actually finding the bits and pieces of relevant data. It's like dropping an atomic bomb to blow the seeds off a dandelion stem.

Oh it was happening well before PATRIOT Act - IT people knew about and talked about it, first I read about it was back in fall of '98. But back then it was something they talked about in 2600 and over on Slashdot, and no one thought it'd ever be out in the open or as invasive as it turned out to be.

That's easy. They will claim victory over a hard fought battle 'behind the scenes' and that we all unknowingly just missed disaster of an apocalyptic proportion. Therefore we should be eternally grateful to them and remain ever vigilant (and for only $19.95 you too can see the twin towers rise again in their silver (electroplate) glory with actual silver that was reclaimed from ground zero (and other places) so order today!).

/or something like that
//the play book states 'declare victory and continue on no matter the actual outcome'
///although last election they did prove that they had the best echo chamber in the world, so they have that going for them, which is nice

You seem like a rational person, what specifically in this article, or an article like it, do you consider false, exaggerated, or unfair?
