Well, to the Japanese's credit.   They read books backwards, so to them, the Germans come in and everything else seems to be flashback.

Crime novel mysteries must be infuriating.

Anne Frank's plane crash was very sad. Donovan wrote that song "American Pie" about it. Later it was turned into a movie of the same name.

Phony_Soldier: I have to stop reading fark. One day I'm going to get Anne Frank and Anne Sullivan confused.

Anne Sullivan was a teacher and friend of Laura Ingles Wilder who wrote a book called "The Miracle Worker" about how she taught Laura's sister Mary to read braille. Mary was blind like Anne Frank but could hear. It can get a bit confusing.

zulius: MaudlinMutantMollusk: I thought they liked pinball over there?

Do I want to understand the pinball reference?

Probably. It's a "rock opera." (Musical theater for cool people.)

The Who's Tommy.

Slypork: HawgWild: Rev. Skarekroe: I wouldn't worry about it.  The Japanese don't have a history of associating with Nazis.

What?! Clearly you don't remember who we fought in the Spanish-American War.

Of course. It was Poland and Australia.

It's not over, just like it wasn't over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
