I'll insist they produce the weapon in court.

I went to college there. The locals are inbred mutants of a terrifying kind.

Used to live in Binghamton for about a year, before a job transfer took me and the wife back to MO.  The only saving graces for that town were the auto detail shop that I worked at, Wegmans, Lupos, and Michelangelo's restaurant.

I spent one night in Binghamton and almost saw three fights break out (2 at the minor league game I went to, and one at the motel the next morning) in less than 12 hours. What a dreadful place.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about Binghamton

/it sounds like an ice place

2014-02-21 11:26:59 AM
It wasn't so much the beating as the repeated shouting of "Ice to meet you!" that was horrifying.

2014-02-21 11:39:46 AM
That's cold.

Binghamton is like the rest of New York state, ugly and depressing.

One of my VPs was telling me that in the early 80s she went to see the Dead at Binghamton Arena, and was asked if she wanted a spiedie. She was surprised it was food. And a little disappointed too.

Seems to me an icicle would be the perfect murder weapon. It melts, no weapon, no prints, nothing but a little water. Not that I've ever thought of killing someone with an icicle...

Was he robbed of his speidie sauce and hot air balloon ropes?

2014-02-21 11:43:05 AM
Well Rod Serling came from there so, it's not ALL bad.

Thank godparticle this man wasn't armed so he could be a good victim.

Oh, that's over in Windsor.  See those barns behind the house?  That's the main drag, rt 79, right in the middle of the place.  And no, lots of folks don't take Christmas decorations down around here until they put up St Patricks Day decorations.

The old guy must've known the suspects.  Anywheres east of Kirkwood, the homeowners around here tend to get mad and threaten you if they don't recognize you when they answer your knock.  The icicle was a good touch, though.  Real cool.

Considering a few days ago I had icicles hanging from my building that were 5 feet long, this does not surprise me.

Getting a kick out of all the Binghamton hate - it's not a great place, but it has its bright spots.

Police are looking for a white male suspect.

Extremely white. Almost sort of a frosty bluish-white.

The SUNY Bing girls aren't too bad.

These guys were obviously strung-out junkies - very dangerous, aggressive ones.

Remember this when the Libertarians (or anyone, for that matter) say all drugs should be legalized.

I'm Pro - Pot, but the other stuff is absolutely not the same - and anyone who says otherwise is overly ideological, and/or not that bright.

Good lord I miss Romas - I go to the one just outside of Raleigh anytime I'm in the area and buy about 5 gallons of the Lupos spiedie sauce. Now if only Wegmans would come down here as well, this place would be heaven.

If you outlaw icicles, only outlaws will have icicles.

The police just need to chill. It'll be a cold day in hell before the perp slips up and lets himself be sent to the cooler. He's got ice in his veins.

/ So does his victim, now.
