(Mashable)   The best collisions, wipeouts and crashes of the 2014 Olympics. We just saved you literally dozens of hours of watching Scandanavians in Lycra with stuff strapped to their feet going round endless ovals in a blizzard. You're welcome   (mashable.com) divider line 22

If these were animated gifs we could actually see the collisions and falls. That would be cool.

Where has snowcross been all my life? That's fantastic to watch. It actually seems to be a sport.

Yesterday's men's bronze medal winner crossed the finish line on his arse.  Who knew it was still possible to win a medal on your arse?

when i see i picture like this, i kind of wish skiers from the 70s (or maybe 80s) were given time machines to travel to the future so i could watch their faces say WTF.

/ technology has seriously advanced skiing sports.
// still remembers skies that didn't exactly bend like that

It's easy when the last guy in the race falls on his arse and slides over a drop.

One of the semis featured the last three finishers sliding across on their butts. The only guy to stay upright won, and I think he was last going into the last jump.
