What a dwarf with a bad car Hobbit might look like:

Imagine what he would do with an unlocked gun safe.

That boy needs some discipline. Get him to a Finnish driving school. If he's going to have an adventurous time joyriding, at least give him the skills to be good at it.

I'm sure you're only joking, but not a half bad idea to at least get him a better grasp on how to do it and teach him the rules for his own safety. Hope he didn't take his baby sister with him this time.

How about not leaving the keys in an unlocked car?

How about a swat on the rump and some chores?

Really, this is the second time he has stolen the car and his parents have to keep the cabinets locked shut and the tv chained because he keeps disobeying them?

My grandmother would have made him cut his own switch, once.

Only half-joking, but yes, I was serious on the instruction part. It's apparent he wants to go driving, so you might as well teach him how to do it properly, not just for his own safety, but for the other drivers as well.

That's just what the Dwarven lobby would like people to believe.

You must have had the same Grandma, but also if the switch wasn't sufficiently switchy (the thinner the switch the more it hurt) enough, she would double up on the amount of 'hits'. She was evil at times.

And he'll feel and show absolutely no remorse or regret when he does, other than regret that he was caught.
