Just when you thought they couldn't be more annoying,

Er... what's been annoying about them up until now?  My general reaction to them is, "Oh, that guy is smoking and there is no smoke to bother me, so I guess that's pretty okay."

2014-02-20 12:15:40 PM
I don't find e-cigs annoying. Hell I use one.

Saying that, this is a horrible idea. I hate other people's music just as much as they hate mine. If it had a headphone jack and no internal speakers then go ahead. But this just seems like a terrible idea.

I think being annoying is sweet justice for all the anti smoking nutjobs that spent decades forcing us to the outer most fringe of society.

Non smokers who just preferred not to be around smoke are excluded ... those guys are ok.

I don't care for the big set-ups. The one I have is the size of a standard pen, and that's too big IMHO. Besides, I drop mine every 10 minutes. If it weighed more than it does now, my floors at home would be ruined.

I've been using an E-goT with TS3 tanks, but they leak and I think I need more power. I'm about to start experimenting with other options.

Tired of a leaky tank messing with the connection and making me smell like green apple.

If you can find it in stock, consider the Aspire Nautilus BDC, it's a bottom-dual coil pyrex tank with adjustible airflow (it's what I have on mine.) The coils are about 5 for 17-20$ and the tank itself is about 35$ and comes with two coils.

I usually recommend this to people who are interested in it.  http://www.mtbakervapor.com/e-cig-starter-kits/innokin-itaste-mvp-v2- 0 -starter-kit/

It's not super expensive, you don't have to keep track of 18650 batteries and chargers, the tank it comes with works great and worst comes to worst you can use it as a USB battery pack for your phone. The juice on that site tastes great, is about the cheapest i've seen, and made in the good ol' 'murica so you don't have to worry about other chemicals, just PG, VG and NC.

A liquid mixture containing nicotine gets vaporized by the e-cig and you breathe in the vapor.  You get your fix without inhaling all the other shiat involved in burning tobacco or blowing all that other shiat into the air around you for others to breathe.  You also don't end up smelling like a dog's ass that's been sitting in an ashtray.

It's also really good way to tell if someone is an asshole.  If someone objects to others using e-cigs, they're an asshole.

Agreed, The manufacturers should be working on improving the atomizers and overall longevity of the devices. The rebuildables are the future. They just need to figure out how to make it easier for average users to replace the coils or develop something that requires no coil and no wick.

I was the same way, I started on a cheap 8$ passthrough i got from China, it broke in a week, heh. Once I got on the APV though I figured out I can just keep 4-5 batteries in rotation and not have to wait on charging. If you like the Evod / Coils, Madvapes has a tank called the ARO that's basically just a Pyrex Evod / T3 and uses the same coils.

I think it's just excitement over the convenience. Over the last decade smoking became demonized (with some good reasons) and smokers were pushed to the fringe. Now they developed a safe non intrusive way to partake. Got a lot of freedom back.

I liken it to the 80's for snowboarding. Early on they weren't allowed in any resort. Then, as skiing waned and resorts started losing money they not only started allowing boarders, they began catering to them with terrain parks etc.

They went from being banned, to accepted, to coveted to Olympic heros.

I hope you're going for more than pedantic points. Any exhaled content originating from the vape is less harmful to you than the CO2 coming from the lungs themselves.
What then is your problem? The faint cherry/mint/raspberry scent? I can let loose a ripe sqeeker to cover it up for ya, and I don't even vape.

Unlike some here, you apparently like using anecdote rather than fact.

Here's something you should have learned in science class: The glycols used in eCig vapor are roughly three times the weight of water, and around 30 percent heavier than oxygen. Thus, it would take a not inconsiderable amount of breath force for you to inhale the vapor that someone else is exhaling, as once it reaches an unagitated state, being the heavier substance, it goes DOWN. Does this mean you won't smell it? No. It's similar to Hookah, in that respect. It does mean, however, that unless you're shotgunning it or having it blown directly into your face with extreme force, it's nearly impossible for you to inhale secondhand vapor.

Maybe next time you should "pass" a science class at the high school level, where they educate regarding chemical weights.

2014-02-20 05:22:35 PM
Woops. My math was off. VG is, in fact, around six times the weight of water vapor and around three times the weight of Oxygen.
