Well, that's a Champlain* and simple.

Lake St. Clair is not a Great Lake, but it is a Good Lake:  Full of East Side Dirtballs drinking Bud Light and cheering for womens to pop their tops.

Frozen-over lakes also have finally cut off the lake-effect snow, so I think most people in the region will take the trade-off.

The other thing about a frozen Lake Superior is less snow because of less lake effect, we've only had 90" of snow so far this year which is about a foot below normal for this time. But I think Keweenaw is doing OK for snow, there in the 150's

Am I the only one who thinks the reason subby didn't have a pun for Ontario is that he thought Toronto was a Great Lake name?

If people in Toronto had their way, Lake Ontario would be renamed Lake Toronto.

The thundersnow was bizarre.  Lived here my whole life and first time I've experienced it.

Please let it be cooler this summer in Michigan! Last summer was brutal for us northerners used to cooler climates. I'm  still playing my AC bill from last June.
