That's a start.

2014-02-19 08:19:30 PM
He murdered a family and the subject of a book?

2014-02-19 08:20:05 PM
Is this the thread where everybody who doesn't care comes to say how little they care? Or that "he took the coward's way out"?

2014-02-19 08:20:16 PM
The bar for soldiers was dropped so low we let tons of whacks and psychos in just to fill the ranks.  Here's the result.

Farker Cyclometh did a great job reading the book for Audible.

He murdered an entire family and then raped and murdered a 14 year old girl. And he thinks his sentence was unfair. Poor baby!

/ I wonder why the other guys only got 6 years before a chance at the parole board.

2014-02-19 08:21:26 PM
GOOD.

2014-02-19 08:23:06 PM
Well.....bye.

I have a way to make it fair for him, so that he's just like everyone else. Give the others life sentences.

I suspect it's not what he would have wanted, though.

FTA:

Three other soldiers -- Jesse Spielman, Paul Cortez and James Barker -- are serving lengthy sentences in the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., for their roles in the attack. Each is eligible for parole in 2015.

Lengthy?

He was a soldier, not a marine.

2014-02-19 08:24:12 PM
He wasn't a Marine, he was Army. A disgraceful ex-soldier. I feel bad that they have to claim him, but Subby is an idiot.

They could have made it extra super fair and handed them all over to Iraqi authorities.

"Green was the first American soldier charged and convicted under the Military Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Act. Signed in 2000, that law gives the federal government jurisdiction to pursue criminal cases against U.S. citizens and soldiers for acts committed in foreign lands."

I'm sure this law was more intended to crack down on Pedobears who travel to Thailand more than it was for soldiers who go Mai Lai, but if it fits.......

compared to ww1, 2 and vietnam?  No.

IIRC, they were involved in covering up the murders but not the rape.

Hanging himself was the first decent thing this shiatbag did in his lifetime.

FTA, it looks like he's the one the actually committed the murders.  Two of the others were guilty of rape, and another two of knowing what the other three were doing.

I agree; I read the article again and it said that he was the THIRD to rape the girl. I was all O_o

/ If this happened in the states; all 4 would have had the death penalty

farking subby you dipshiat - Marines are not Soldiers they are Marines. Soldiers are Army you farkstick. Read your farking material before you go throwing shiat out there.

If he had just droned then to death it would have just been collateral damage.

I guess laws are different at the federal level, because you are very right

It was.  The military has always had the UCMJ to handle this.  More of an umbrella case.

That's a good little boy.

2014-02-19 08:28:50 PM
Huh, so the fact that he was discharged for a mental disorder is what doomed up to life in prison when the others get parole in 2015 for being sane but evil?
Makes sense.

A lot of people really do not know the difference between a soldier and a Marine.  Sailor and Airmen are pretty hard to screw up though...

I've got an EVEN better idea!

Give the bastards to Al Queda. They should spend the rest of their lives being tortured to death.

If those other guys ever see the light of day, I hope it's an incredibly short time before a small metallic object enters, then exits their skulls at a high rate of speed.

I get that, but my original comment was the author used the word lengthy, then said they are eligible for parole in 2015.  Even at half time for good behavior, i wouldn't use the word Lengthy.

No, it was designed to go after contractors not subject to the UCMJ that accompany the force in countries where we don't trust the civilian legal system to investigate and prosecute.

I'm guessing because he was the only one to pull the trigger, multiple times, and they were just rapists. Still, they all are psychopaths.

Not to play devil'a advocate, but this is war.
