The most impressive thing NBC has managed to do with this whole Olympics thing was prove that CNN isn't necessarily the most laughably incompetent whore of a news network on earth.

Because Bode Miller didn't cry enough? Seriously, fark you Bode, you ruined the Olympics for NBC. Ruined it!

Following the court proceedings on May 19, 2011,[46] Nancy Kerrigan was involved in a two-car accident in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

You'd think that "MBA and Fulbright Scholar Paul M. Banks" would know how to edit better when he copies-and-pastes from Wikipedia to his lame-ass blog.

I'm pretty sure that for nine bucks and a pack of Tareytons you could get Tonya Harding herself to meet you in a Waffle House parking lot and give you a Lillehammer Walrus Stomp

Way to end the Games on an up note, NBC. I'd love to see the notes from that planning meeting.

If she can be lured away from her lucrative career as a sarcastic and witty commentator on the "20 Stupidest Damned Things" series on Tru TV.

Will Kerrigan make fun of Okasan Baiul again?

I'm upset at Tonya Harding for making me waste $60 on the shiattiest ametuer sex video featuring her honeymoon sex. forty minutes of looking at her and Jeff Gillooly's taint in a grainy video.

NBC is why I quit watching the Olympics.

I saw that ESPN 30 for 30 show a couple weeks ago and there's no doubt anywhere that Tonya is batshiat insane and always was. She's somewhat self-aware now but not fully.

She's also fat and ugly.

Nancy on the other hand.............

ESPN's 30 for 30 did the best job at documenting this than NBC wishes they could in a wet dream.

My wife and I watched that last night, just for a laugh. I thought it would shed a little new light on the situation. Despite feeling bad for Tonya's childhood, I was struck at how little I cared for either of them afterward.

That. That right there. I came of age during Watergate and Munich, and everybody in the media, ESPECIALLY sportscasters should be ashamed of themselves.

Can you see Costas doing a Jim McKay and switching straight news on the fly?

It was weird that way.  Tonya certainly gave off that vibe that she knew what was going on the whole time while Nancy came across as one of the most ungracious people you've ever seen(her jerkwad husband too).

This isn't the first time NBC's sports coverage has sucked horse schlong:

inhiss.files.wordpress.com

nor will it be the last.

/haven't seen their F1 coverage, heard it's pretty good
//but it sucks by virtue of being done by NBC
///if you change the network it's aired on but absolutely nothing else at all whatsoever (same announcers, same commercials, same location of the picture-in-picture coverage of the race during the commercials, etc.), it would not suck
////see also: a barrel of fine wine with an added teaspoon of sewage

I can't remember exactly when Olympic coverage turned to absolute schlock, but it's certainly didn't start with NBC. Pat O'Brien, anyone?

On second thought, maybe it did. I remember O'Brien doing Winter Olympics coverage with CBS in the 90's, but NBC had covered some of the summer and winter games before that.

I'm intrigued... Go on...

To answer your question subby, it's because polls have shown there are still at least 20 people left on the planet that doesn't think nbc sucks out loud.

My cockbag would look great in a tunic. Or a pinstriped vest

The crzy thing is that NBC SportsNet is actually halfway decent. They've done a really good job with the EPL stuff and the other stuff they have on reminds me of ESPN back in the day (racing, college hoops, fishing, etc).

My wife kind of felt that way about Kerrigan after watching it, too.

Harding was so full of crap that I actually felt sorry for her.

Why not just finish out the theme. They could do "specials" on a few other Olympic topics while they are at it.

"The Black September Terrorists: Olympic Killers"
"Adolph Hitler: Leveraging Olympics into mass murder"
"Black Power and the Mexico City Olympics"

Or they could concentrate on a much more topical disaster:
"NBC/Universal: Horrible Olympic Coverage in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020"

After the disaster of the summer Olympics, where they showed a too-long history of WWII, I would have thought they'd learned their lesson.  I suppose not.

I thought you were talking about Harding's porn video and the sentence still made the same amount of sense.
