Texas and nobody stood their ground?  Disappointing.

They smell bad too.

I never got the impression that Ace Ventura showered, so yea

The Onion and the GOP:  virtually indistinguishable any more.

Pffftt....RINOs only have horns. Let me know when the DINOs start revolting. They've got sharp teeth.

its sad that Republicans who want to run the government efficiently are considered the enemy in their own party.

Not only do they have the Democrats to worry about, they have the Tea Party who expect them to bow down to every crazy whim they come up with or they will run a nutjob that will do everything they say in the primaries.

2014-02-19 05:45:12 PM
Boy, Texas, we'll really miss you when you are overrun by Mexico... again.

ItchyMcDoogle: Republicans who want to run the government efficiently

Those words in that order don't really make sense, can you elaborate a bit?

It truly depends on the state.  Orly Taitz, she of Tea Party royalty, has failed miserably in two Republican primaries in the state of California, including losing to a fabled African American Republican in the Secretary of State primary.

2014-02-19 05:54:37 PM
Now I'm just putting this out there, but the few remaining sane Republicans would not have to live in fear or a tea party primary if either they or the tea party just go form their own party.  Beating the Tea Party might be difficult currently in Republican primaries, but beating them in the general election is like taking candy from a particularity whiny...
s3.amazonaws.com

Now from the Tea Party position, this is also a win.  Then you can finally assure the purity you desire.  You keep telling us that Democrats win when the opposition is "not Conservative enough" so this is the perfect way to prove yourself right and "take back out country" as you like to say.

Here's the only local source I could find, a Beaumont TV station. According to one of the comments, the man he beat up was 83 years old. But the woman making the comment has the same last name as the alleged "victim" so who knows what happened. I'm kind of amazed that no shots were fired. Pretty sad for your state when your "Golden Triangle" is Beaumont/Port Arthur/Orange.  Ah, the wonder that is east Texas.

"RINO" ideology is just as destructive as that of the Teabaggers. They're just smarter, and thus even more dangerous.

Republicans in general need to GTFO of America's government. Get an actual left-wing party in government to oppose the conservative Democrats, and we might see some actual farking progress instead of stagnation.

But the "sane" Republicans have spent decades turning 'liberal' into a dirty word for many Americans, and we still have a shiatton of boomers who crap their pants at anything deemed "Socialism" because COMMIES!, so it probably won't happen for a while.

Yea, that's the ticket, resort to personal attacks and dehumanizing Republicans because you don't agree with their ideology.  You're really showing off your ability for intellectual discourse!

Fair enough.

So to begin the elevated intellectual discourse can you point out something positive for your country that the Republican Party has done since, let's say... 2008?

I'll wait here.

They're both RINOs. A real Republican would have pulled a gun and claimed a stand your ground defense.

The republicans rely on hatred, bigotry, and racism as their core principals.

Pointing out that someone is a bigot and a racist is not being a bigot or racist. In this case, they are against giving the LGBT the same rights as the rest of the people, against the poor, against anyone that is not a Christian, against females, and yes, some are against minorities (think immigration reform).

It is literally true.  Read a newspaper.  Talk to a conservative.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who mentally swapped that in for the station's call letters throughout the article.
