GDubDub: Seriously though, if they had all black contestants, being black-history month, would anyone have been surprised if a category called "Country Clubs and Yachting" was avoided?

Itstoearly: How cute, manufactured outrage. You'd think this is the first time in history a jeopardy category was untouched until it was the only category left.
djwebb1127: In fairness, there was a black girl contestant named Kanesha from Oakwood University. Unfortunately she was competing against a WASPY Canadian girl from Harvard and an Asian math major from Berkeley. I was pulling for her but it was hopeless.
cgraves67: And they're all thinking, "Man, I guess I should have taken those African-American Studies courses. Who would have thought that would come back to bite me in the ass."
GrizzlyPouch: You can find a reason to be offended by literally anything.
Rapmaster2000: The only black history is slavery, MLK, and The Jackson Five. I'm tired of these PC THUGS trying to shove Long Dong Silver in my face!
xanadian: Abe Vigoda's Ghost: [img.fark.net image 377x660]That is too beautiful.
kling_klang_bed: Double Jeopardy question: Do any of us know anyone in the black community that actually celebrates Black History Month? By my experience, most truly black people celebrate it every day with pride.
Arkanaut: idesofmarch: So forgive me if I'm behind the times, but what happened to Arthur Chu, the guy who put Jeopardy into the headlines a couple weeks ago? Did he lose or something? They put the regular contestants on hold for the tournament. I think he's still the reigning winner, but they won't show his episodes until probably next week or something.
Mid_mo_mad_man: It's not black history or white history it's just history. Enough with this pc garbage.
Lt. Cheese Weasel: GrizzlyPouch: You can find a reason to be offended by literally anything.I find this generalization offensive.
Itstoearly: How cute, manufactured outrage.
John Stamos: Here in Canada we call black history "history."
AbiNormal: That was Mondays show. And for the record, I don't give a fark about black history or black history month. Where's Native American history month? Or Asian American history month?
A_Listless_Wanderer: Mid_mo_mad_man: It's not black history or white history it's just history. Enough with this pc garbage.Really? No one ever says this kind of thing about other topics. No one ever says, "it's not medieval history or non-medieval history. It's just history." So do you see how your line gives off an "I don't want to hear about black people" vibe? How it may be construed as (dare I say it) just a tad racist?Of course, you might be saying Jeopardy should be a big board of random answers with no categories at all... "There are no potent potables or non-potent potables. Just potables."
Sin_City_Superhero: It would've been funny if all of the answers were in Ebonics.
styckx: Wow.. The headline doesn't do that any justice.. I thought maybe it was going to embellish it a bit.. Nope.. They seriously just avoided the entire category.
Mid_mo_mad_man: The point I was making it's just history. It's not white history or black history or even Asian history.
Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: Does anyone know what the questions were? I'm really curious.
Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: Does anyone know what the questions were? I'm really curious.Uh, nevermind. I see the link has them.
TNel: kling_klang_bed: Double Jeopardy question: Do any of us know anyone in the black community that actually celebrates Black History Month? By my experience, most truly black people celebrate it every day with pride. So you can be not truly black?
skozlaw: Mid_mo_mad_man:The point I was making it's just history. It's not white history or black history or even Asian history.Well, yea, except it is. The life of a slave on a southern plantation in 1820 South Carolina is "black history" because it specifically happened to "black people".You're not smarter or more cultured than everyone else and you're not on to anything here. It's race-based history because it's a period of history based on race. That's what happens when you live in a country that systematizes treatment of a group of people based on their race. The history itself matches the systematization and specific periods and events can be tied directly to the race of the affected people. But, by all means, keep pretending you've transcended everyone else on this matter if it makes you feel better about yourself.
kvinesknows: how is this a fail?
Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: l. The question about the first black regiment was really hard, IMO. I've never heard that, ever, and it was given has the second easiest.
