Even the Avengers are all like "FUAC!".

And apparently Scarlet Witch and Vision will hook up.

NYC should take the hint and stop rebuilding. I can't count how many times it's been destroyed on screen

Just because they are filming there doesn't mean that it's the name of the city that will be the setting of the movie.

Superhero fights perpetuate organized crime. Between permits and construction contracts the Avengers are a better milk cow than most wars.

Since that leads to crime bosses like the Kingpen the Avengers are directly responsible for farking Daredevil.

Tokyo has NYC beat by a significant margin.

Aren't there four avengers? Unless you count Hawkeye and Black Widow, then there's six. Is subby not counting hawkeye? That's understandable.

I wondered how many people Superman killed in the most recent movie by flying and throwing people through populated office buildings.

Six Avengers (for the moment), and they actually trashed Cleveland filming the first movie.

Good, but not good enough. When is it going to be Toronto's time? We're ready for destruction. If we can't get the Olympics, at least devastate us in Hollywood blockbusters. I mean come on, we have an overload of new condos ready to be knocked down, we have a bumbling mayor to spoof, and the CN Tower is right there! How has the Incredible Hulk not knocked it down onto Thor's head yet?

No more standing in for New York! Blow up Toronto for reals!

NYC in The Avengers was actually Cleveland. I wonder what location they will pick as a stand in for Seoul and Johannesburg.

Stuff happening in the Marvel Universe not taking place in New York?

What fresh hell is this?! :p

/yes, I know most of the movies haven't taken place in New York... but almost everything seems to happen there in the comics...

So, is Ultron going to arise from Starcraft?

Gives the impression that they're trying to make sure the global movie-viewing audience sees The Avengers franchise as 'global' heroes and not just American heroes.

prolly Cleveland.  It is really inexpensive to film there because no caring population.
Basically, anyone can roll up into Cleveland and be all. "we're making a film here's $5" and tear stuff up and what is left of the citizens will be all, "don't tear up the rock hall and we're good."

Approximately 129,000 people died and 250,000 went missing and around a million people injured. Total cost in damage adds up to almost two trillion dollars.

He is Ultron.

My limited knowledge of superhero comic stories is limited only to the movie releases and the common knowledge of Superman & Batman.  I wasn't allowed to read comics as a kid, and after hitting  my teens, I didn't want to bother.  So it's all new stuff me.  I have no idea who Ultron is, and I don't really care too much.  James Spader is a great actor, so I'll just find out as I go along what all the characters are.  I just like the mindless action of 'comic' movies, with a few *coughBaysplosionscough* exceptions.

From what I've picked up, Ultron is basically Brainiac.

Oh no, not this shiat again.

I guess probably as many as were killed by Hulk doing the same?  And not near as many as Zod's ship that while the world engine was doing its thing.  Most of the destruction happened before superman even got  there.  So one must assume, just like in the Avengers, the people were leaving the area pretty damn fast.
