I feel like NBA Jam came out in 1992. I skipped a few classes in my junior and senior year to play it and I was only in high school for a couple of months in 1993.

Came out in 1993 in arcade, 1994 for home consoles.

DJ Jazzy Jeff is a better non-sequitur character than Bill Clinton :P

The new NBA Jam for mobile devices is a lot of fun too.

Clinton is a huge basketball fan isn't he?  The Author seems confused as to why he might be included in a basketball videogame.

I remember some PS1 wrestling games that could fill an entire list like this.

In Wrestlemania 2000 for the N64 you could make Goku in the character creator.  There was a bright red gi, spiky hair, and even a spirit bomb taunt but no Goku character.  I'm wondering if he was a regional character for the Japanese version of the game and they never bothered to get the licensing in North America or something.  Either way that was a sweet game.

One of my friends always picked Spider-Man when playing THPS2. Let's face it, adding Spider-Man to something almost always makes it better.

THPS4 also had Jango Fett. It's been a while since I played it, but if I remember correctly, he had a special jetpack trick that would make him rise as long as you held the button down, allowing for an infinite move.

Danica Patrick in a racing game?  Now that's odd.

Or Borderlands 2.

I figured Bill for being more of a volleyball fan.  Here he is standing next to some hottie

Patrick is sponsored by SEGA and does promo work for them as part of "team sonic" so her inclusion makes sense.

The PC version of Transformed does have some odd characters though

I think it's funny how her name is pronounced "Dan-ee-ka".

Also, Wreck-It Ralph has become one of my favorites to race with.

Bill Clinton was our first black president, so it only makes sense he'd be in NBA Jams.

Dearth Maul in Tony Hawk was the first thing I thought of when I read the headline.

I personally preferred Air Dog over Bill Clinton, thanks.

The omission of Dopefish is a major fail.

Would have been a better list if more than half of the screen shots they included actually showed the damn character they were writing about.

Maybe it depends on what console you had it on.

I had a SEGA, and NBA Jam was awesome.  Tried on SNES and anytime I managed to steal the ball it was called goal tending, I did it so habitually at home I couldn't stand it on SNES.

It also had George Clinton.

As far as video games goes, I'd like to think the next Leisure Suit Larry installment will feature a Bill Clinton avatar you can choose for Larry's adventures.

/completely showing my age there
