Yea, put me down for the Archer and Aliens ones. Those look bad ass. Although I'd probably rather have the xenomorphs that are getting shot up. Or all of them.

So, the top 20 were all figures of some sort?

No, like, actual toys?

2014-02-18 08:17:53 PM
Bunch of dolls.

2014-02-18 08:20:34 PM
Does it bother anyone else that all but 3 of those are just rehashed versions of characters that have been around for 20+ years.

I haven't followed comic books in a long time, but there has to be some new and original characters out there. I know there are tons of new video games characters, so why stick with the old stuff. Is everything about nostalgia?

2014-02-18 08:27:27 PM
How are these things considered "toys" they are collectable dolls; something that no child would be allowed to play with or even take out of the box. They are display pieces for old nerds...not a toy for kids. You might as well collect hallmark ornaments and call those 'toys'.

I wanted to see awesome toys. Not collectable in action figures.

As an 18th collector/customizer, this was the most uselessly dogshiat Toy Fair ever.  Go f*ck yourself, Funko.  You rotten cocksuckers have the goddamn temerity to put out biatchin'-sweet 12th scale Game of Thrones, Magic Gathering, and motherfarking ROCKETEER figs at $2 dollars cheaper than comparitive figures from Hasbro/Matter, but want me to pay $10 for 18th figures in 30yo 5poa Kenner style?  F*ck yourselves up a rusty razor blade, you insulting assholes.

Nothing screams "FUN!" like a mantlepiece figurine.

I have no idea what you just said and why it's so objectionable, but your anger is palpable and I like it.

Also, 1/12 scale Mark 1-42 armors? Do farking want.

This.

Seems like a pretty biased list. This seems to be a more well rounded selection.

Is it just me, or do the Archer figures not look right?  Maybe it's just the picture.

Agreed those are collectables not Toys.  For Grown men to catalog and collect.  Nothing wrong with it, if thats your hobby cool.

Toys are Super Soakers, moon bounces, and big wheels.

I personally am waiting for the Limited Edition Archer with Slightly darker black turtleneck

THIS on the other hand... well I know what I'm getting at some point.. God I can only hope that it doesn't need a kidney to be sold for it.

I sooooooooooo miss the original space sets... they're the one "toy" that I didn't manage to hold on to from my younger days.  What I did salvage is but maybe a poor third of the blocks.

That looks much, much better. There are toys there that are actual, proper toys meant to be intrinsically fun rather than just merchandise for some tv show/movie/comic/video game. Which is a good thing. When my nephew was younger I had to struggle to find toys to buy him that were fun and not have to worry if he liked the franchise or not or being completely predictable with only Star Wars* toys every year.

Which, come to think of it, means that I'm probably the one to blame for him becoming absolutely mad about Lego and Minecraft today.

*while on the subject let me say I am a very proud uncle because his love for that come from inheriting my VHS copies of the original trilogy in their pre-remastered forms.

I confess I have never heard of Topless Robot. Interesting subject but disappointing photography.

I see this issue has been covered exhaustively in this thread. Dust-collecting tchotchkes are not toys.

70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!!! is supposed to be about $100. It's a 900+ piece set so that's not wholly out of line. I'll be pre-ordering it as soon as I can- I actually have most of my old space sets, but loved that part of the movie and am all for supporting them making cool stuff like it. Plus it has the Benny minifig & Space Kitty. :p
