"We are short of carbon dioxide for the needs of the plants," Anderson, a retired science teacher, told the House Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environmental Quality Committee on Tuesday. "Concentrations reached 600 parts per million at the time of the dinosaurs and they did quite well. I think we could double the carbon dioxide and not have any adverse effects."

Looks like we got us a moran over here.

I understand tree and glacier sampling which can go back 10s of thousands of years but I thought "how did they measure CO2 levels millions in the timesof dinosaurs" but then I remembered that this was only 6,000 years ago.

They're not really all that OK, what with being either mineralized bones or chickens.

Yeah let's see how high we can go! We all know that law of science, for every action there is no reaction at all it's cool man just keep doing what you're doing and there will never be any consequences. Science.

How about we compromise and limit CO2 emissions to potato PPM?

This has got to be some clever work of political satire. There's no way a living, breathing human being could have said that, right?

Right?

Listen to this moran. CO2 isn't what plants crave. They need electrolytes.

The evil that men do lives after them.

In the case of CO2, for around 1000 years.

Conservatives are terrified that limitations on CO2 are part of a secret Obama plan to make soft drinks and beer illegal.

The rightwing site CNS actually had to explain that bubbles in drinks would not fall under environmental regulation.
