I can't bring my snowflake in on a Saturday!  He's had a rough five days of school and now you're pushing this on him?  He's completely stressed!  Saturday is the only day that we get to bond and do activities he wants to do like buying and playing video games.

Sunday is his father's day.  My precious child usually just sits around with Mister Unmotivated and plays video games with him.  Make Mister Can't Pay Alimony On Time drag him to school on a Sunday.  No wait.   There's that little Miss Nu-Boobs Whore teaching second grade.   He'd latch right on to that skank.

I went to Catholic grade school in 1993, where we had to make up a snow day on a Saturday.  The principal announced that it was the school's best attendance all year.

Cold_Sassy: We had Saturday school in 1977 because of the blizzard we missed the whole month of January.  NObody showed up for Saturday school.  Just give up and consider it an act of God.

We did as well.  Half a day.

We watched cartoons.
