Books don't kill people, people... no, wait...

When books are outlawed, only outlaws will have...

Nah, I just can't be bothered.

Unless it's a hardcover, the punishment exceeds the crime.

Especially as "community service" is now an industry of its own, like defense contractors. What the hell good is it for this guy to spend 50 hours doing whatever BS service? He's stopped teaching, and I bet he's VERY aware that hitting kids isn't a good idea.

I've seen some classrooms where beating the little monsters should have been allowed.  When the little punks talk smack to the teachers because they know there is nothing that can be done to them, you've lost any chance of teaching the few who want to learn.  Unfortunately, the parents don't give a shiat, and only send their brats to school to babysit without caring if they get an education.

Corporal punishment should be brought back and include the parents.

/only half joking with that last statement

This. I got blackboard erasers thrown at me because I couldn't keep my yap shut in class. I didn't get butthurt over it. I shut up and handed the eraser back to the teacher so he/she could continue lecturing as they walked by my desk.

Teacher's edition.  Almost certainly hardcover, and heavy.

Whe I was in school, if you mouthed off to a teacher you would definetly get your ass beat. And if you got your ass beat at school, you could expect the same at  home

A sub threw a book against the wall after I frustrated him. I can't recall what I did to rustle his jimmies but I was never a big trouble maker and most teachers liked me. He got fired.

Probably important to note that this was 2nd grade.

Yeah, back in HS in my days I remember a history teacher that would chuck an eraser across the room at someone dozing off. Probably hurt some but the Funny thing was the white chalk dust the kid would have on the side of his head and in his hair. The other was a math teacher that would sling a stick of chalk across the room like a fastball, that made a big Crack! when it would hit the blackboard on the side of the room. The other thing was if you went home and told your folks about what some teacher did to you, you'd probably get beat Again for doing whatever it was that made the teacher do that to you in the first place. Different times now, you can't do Anything to these precious littlle snowflakes now. It's a bunch of Crap!

Kids today are not taught to respect their elders. Also they suffer no consequences for their actions Patrents just dont give a shait.

Once had an industrial arts teacher that would bring your feet off of the floor when he laid wood to ass. The most respected teacher in the school

I once made the grave mistake of rolling my eyes at my 6th grade English teacher; it was something really innocuous.

He grabbed my shirt, dragged me across the room in front of the whole class, and banged me against a glass cabinet. I just about shiat myself.

Eat a bag of dicks, Mr. Keenan.

In HS we had a teacher who used to throw chalkboard erasers. Guy had ears like a bat, with his back to the class so he could see who was talking, he would quickly turn around and pop the kid who was talking. I'd say he had a 90-95% hit rate.
