Subby clearly doesn't know the difference between "showrunner" and "director"

RIP Chris Barrie

Believe it or not, Chris Barrie and Robert Picardo once met at a convention, and exchanged hologram autographs.

"Doctors were unable to revive him."

Maybe they thought he was Adric.

/Christ, can we quit with the whole "Moffat is running this show into the ground"? You're just gonna hate the next guy even more and you know it. Whiners.

Teufelaffe: I created this alt just for this thread: Shadowtag: /Christ, can we quit with the whole "Moffat is running this show into the ground"? You're just gonna hate the next guy even more and you know it. Whiners.

If you don't understand his amateurishly convoluted writing, you must be stupid: "There's been a weird backlash among, I presume, fairly stupid people about the fact the shows [Doctor Who and Sherlock] are complicated and clever, but they're both huge international hits."

Sexist much? "You have to hand it to the Doctor for dumping a slightly needy girlfriend by palming her off on a copy of himself. He tried leaving her in a parallel universe, and that didn't work."

Let's shiat on one character as much as possible, that'll make for good TV: "Part of the mission statement when writing a script for Doctor Who is how bad of a time can you give Amy Pond."

He's lazy: "I write about what has happened to me as that involves the minimum amount of research."

Did I mention he's sexist? "Well, the world is vastly counted in favour of men at every level - except if you live in a civilised country and you're sort of educated and middle-class, because then you're almost certainly junior in your relationship and in a state of permanent, crippled apology. Your preferences are routinely mocked. There's a huge, unfortunate lack of respect for anything male."

All of that crap comes through loud and clear in his writing.  So, yeah, there's no way in hell I could dislike another writer more than Moffat.

He also married Billie Piper.  Come to think of it, if she was willing to marry him, that means I have a chance.

/Billie, call me.  I promise I can't be worse than your ex.

Um....What? That's...incorrect. You must be thinking of someone else.

Tarl3k: Soulcatcher: Dammit, that headline freaked me out. I thought Moffat was dead.

You say that like Moffat dying would be a BAD thing....that guy is running Doctor Who into the ground...that Christmas special was HORRIBLE...

If by "running it into the ground", you mean, "growing the fanbase to become the largest its ever been while improving the quality of the show", than yes.

Seriously, go back and watch old Who. There's a lot of good stuff, sure, but there's a lot of bad acting, stupid stories, and really awful effects as well. Watch the Davies version. Plenty of good stuff there, but then watch the concrete blowjob episode. Watch Fear Her. Now watch the 50th anniversary special.

Yeah, that Moffat is sure awful. *rolls eyes*.

Anyone who directed "The Brain of Morbius" is ok in my book. RIP.
