The only retirement he deserves is in the ground.

Sadr was a firebrand sight
Who once urged his brethren to fight.
Now...al-Maliki?
"Non factor, " says he.
"Like I said, I'm done with that Shi'ite.

The good thing to say about Saddam is that he kept wackos like the good rev in line.  One step out of line and you've got a date with one of Saddam's people shredders -- he didn't take any shiate off of anyone.

Most guys get a gold wristwatch when they retire. Guys like Moqtada Sadr get a gold IED.

This basically can be said on any secular/king dictator in the arab/islamic world.

I can't believe he is still alive. I guess it would have caused too many problems if we took him out when he was powerful, and now he doesn't matter anymore.

I always thought he'd have the "car bomb blows up motorcade" retirement plan.

At least Saddam Hussein died like man, rebuking Moqtada's militiamen who we hounding him while he was standing there on the platform with his hands tied and the rope around his neck. Saddam would have stood still to be shot, making a point, but that punk Moqtada's boy soldiers weren't up to that. (Cowardice is not flying a plane into a building; cowardice is spitting on somebody whose hands are tied.)

Gaddafi, on the other hand, begged for his life until a French agent stabbed him to stop him from "embarrasing" the French president Sarkozy. And, demonstrating that there's no honor among dictators, Gaddafi was sold out by Bashar Al-Assad, tyrant of Syria.

But anyway. Moqtada is a worm that dreams he is a man.

Sadr.  He always had a belly sticking out.  He didn't miss too many meals during sanctions, it would seem.
