Oh sure, but when *I* did this on the turnpike everyone was all up in my face about it!

Wouldn't want to have to fetch the tyre lever out of the boot.

It's so cute I'm just going to assume he was in some deserted parking lot or industrial park, and not airing it out as much as the 'OMGTHINKOFTHECHILDREN!!!' folks think he is.

And yes, we all know speeding is dangerous and that children probably shouldn't be in the front seat but anybody who thinks of that first when they watch this video is just sucking the fun out of life. It's okay to enjoy things!

That girl was adorable.

My Z32 has 600rwhp. Feeling that acceleration is a blast. Feeling 1000 hp must be a riot.

Serves him right.  A child that small should be in the back seat in a booster.

My wife screamed at me pretty hard for letting her first born ride in the front seat when he was that small.  We only crossed one road to go to another store while she was busy at a shop.  It's her big pet peeve.

I don't think they really got going all that fast.  Sure, 1000hp, but he was only on the gas for a couple seconds at a time.

Kids need to learn to drive fast, too.  Starting a bit young, but that's OK.  We'll need female F1 drivers in 20 years, too.  I know a girl who learned to ride a dirtbike at age 3.  Is that any less responsible?

Let me get this straight.  You took a car to go across a street.  How lazy are you?

This and all that. The kid had me from "Can Oi press that button?" but I didn't pay any attention to the text below the video until the guy punched it. Then I was like "Ye Gods, what is he driving???" Been in a car with a souped up turbo once and it was so fast it almost hurt.1000hp must be mind bending.

The sad, defensive little screed attached to the bottom of that video - the "article", I think they call it - was not only pointless, but really demonstrates just how far You're Not The Boss Of Me syndrome has advanced in this country.

"He's clearly endangering his daughter, but, hey, you're not allowed to say or even feel that, because you're not the boss of him." Really? He's an asshole. That belt isn't enough to restrain her safely. Having that "article" white-knight the asshole solely because they're hoping that the video will sell more ads for them makes them assholes, too.

Sounds like your wife needs to get laid.

That was very cute and I applaud that man for making his daughter laugh like that.

/However, I do hope he did this on motorway quality roads, away from the on/off ramps and with no other traffic within 500-1000 metres of him. Either that or a controlled track.

Panty Sniffer: I'm not sure that I would be able to shift with my left hand.

I wondered the same until I first drove a rental car in England.  My right hand thumped the driver door a few times, reaching for the stick, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly.  It's not a complete mirror image, after all.  The pedals are in the same order, and the H pattern is the same, just have to get used to using the other hand to shift.

I crossed one road, but traveled a 1/4 mile.  I didn't have time for walking across a 5 lane road that isn't friendly to pedestrians.  She was done and waiting when I got back which is how she found out I let the kid sit up front.

No, just some nanny state douchebag will recognize the kid by her face and description of the father's car, call the local council and have the kid taken up by their equivalent of the CPS.  Remember, nanny state knows best.

Nice, but I've never understood drifting, especially a nice car meant to be driven properly like a Supra. You can get a much faster lap time without the drifting
