With most of these satellites, touching pieces of it would be very, very bad.

Your insurance company gets to deny any damage claim because the satellite is likely (haven't looked it up to make sure) powered by a RTG - radioisotope thermal generator. Frequently plutonium. Your insurance policy almost certainly has clause disclaiming payment for nuclear or radioactive contamination.
