This could actually work.  I'd love to see a song where Dr. Cox goes through female names for JD with interspersed soliloquy or greek-chorus comments.

So you hated the show, but have watched enough of it to have it's opening song become an earworm?  If you have that much time on your hands, you may be better served searching for stuff you like though I can see that'd be a Herculean task, Delores.

the final two seasons I think were very much downhill from the first two or three, and the attempted reboot where they all teach at a medschool was unwatchable after ten minutes.

The first season of the show captured the life of a medical intern/med student very well.  Obviously it was a caricature, but the angst, the insecurity, the joy of doing something well etc are all very real for new docs or soon to be docs.

I think they strayed away from that in favor of cute quirky things between JD and Turk as well as relationship drama between everybody and everybody else.  If they had continued to pay more attention to the subtleties of practicing internal medicine they might have done better.

The episode where Cox tries to pitch a no-hitter in the ICU was damned good.  The one where JD has to accept a patient choosing to not get dialysis to save her life and stays with her until she passes away should be shown at med schools.  RIP scrubs, but you definitely should have quit while you're ahead.  You were a great show, but writers, leave it be, leave our impression of it intact, don't muck it up with some crappy sequel or reboot, and use your talents to come up with the next great show instead of rehashing the same crap over and over.

Agreed.

The first few seasons were the best, but I like the middle seasons and season 8 a lot, too.  As I'm not a medical doctor, the show didn't lose me when it shifted its focus to the characters instead of the setting, and I rather enjoy seeing depictions of people in happy, fulfilling relationships (e.g., Turk and Carla, or, in a just-barely-platonic way, Turk and J.D.).

Ok. Everyone is hating on 'the last season'. Is that 'the actual last season' or 'the first (failed) season of the spinoff show with half the cast gone'?

Because obviously I consider that an entirely new show, personally.  Sure, it was crap, but Scrubs itself ended pretty well.  Not like House, where they dropped the 'rehab' bomb then tried to come back for a few seasons and it never really worked.
