MountainClimber: OtherLittleGuy: Aquapope: Gyrfalcon: If it turns out there's an energy barrier at the edge of the galaxy, everyone owes Gene Roddenberry a BIG apology.

If this is waiting at the edge of the galaxy:

We all owe Gene a big thank you.

Okay, who is that?

The Gordie Howe Hat Trick: Thats also the weird trick I discovered for lowering my energy bills.

Having no women living in the house will do the same thing.

MadSkillz: Colin O'Scopy: You're all noobs. And what they did with Enterprise was a farking tragedy! They had SO much prequel material they could've drawn upon!
.
Like the origin of the warp engine they did, which was awesome, they couldve fleshed out how the Romulans became a superpower, or made battles with the Klingons more frequent, or did the entire "this is how a bunch of races banded together against adversity to form the Federation" for the entire 3rd (and more) season...
.
...instead of that ABORTION Xindi plotline for the whole farking season that couldve been resolved in 2 episodes...
.
.
/Bakula DIDN'T wreck the franchise!

I like Scott Bakula and thought he was great and most of the cast was good or great.

The Xindi thing was definitely "we have an idea, but no other ideas - how do we turn this into a season-long arc"?

Plus, what I don't get is the Xindi could've waited a year (the full-size weapon was done by the end of the season), not attacked Florida, and Earth would've been totally defenseless and screwed. It made little sense to poke at them like that.

well [pedantic hat activated], strictly speaking, killing 8 million in a single strike was a single obvious weapon (that is actually much smaller than the one you intend to use) is a great to be absolutely what level of technology your facing, and intelligence must have been a priority.

(with a single obvious weapon)

IMHO by the time Voyager came out, I was just bored of the whole thing... it may have had some really good episodes, but I was done. I suspect many more flt the same way...

My favorites where anything with Q in it from TNG, anything with Garak in it in DS9, and of course my all time favorites are the when they meet the Borg in TNG (resistance is futile !) and "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS !!!"

There's also a bit about not attempting any landings on Europa.

They can even go to Earth's moon for Helium3. We're too stupid to use it ourselves.
